The Tomb Raider series has put Lara Croft through a lot. Even if we’re not talking about her numerous deaths, she’s had to put up with a fair few torments. From dealing with Atlanteans and the legacy of trap-obsessed monks, heavily armed goons in Venice, exploring the Great Pyramid, and, of course, dealing with a variety of wildlife in a way that’s sure to anger PETA. The thing is, she never seems to really learn from these experiences....

A number of tins and collections have been revealed for the next Pokémon Trading Card Game set Darkness Ablaze. We got a first look at the next set earlier this month, which will include a Charizard V and Charizard VMax for the first time. The set is a combination of two Japanese sets (as most non-core sets are): April’s set Explosive Walker and June’s set Infinity Zone. We’ve already seen a lot of the core product from Darkness Ablaze, which includes an Elite Trainer Box featuring Poison/Dragon legendary Eternatus, two themes decks featuring Galarian Sirfetch’d and Galarian Darmanitan, multiple blister packs, and four different pack art featuring Centiscorch Vmax, Eternatus Vmax, Charizard Vmax, and Grimmsnarl Vmax....

The Fire Emblem series is home to a plethora of unique and interesting characters with varying specialties and applications that players can use in their army. One of the great things about the series is that due to the wide variety of characters at a player’s disposal, they are able to utilize the types of units and characters that fit their personal play style. While most Fire Emblem games contain numerous playable units of the same given class, this is not the case with Dancers....

Total War: Warhammer 2 has been one of the biggest successes in Creative Assembly’s long-running strategy series. Following on from the original Total War: Warhammer, the sequel introduced new continents, new factions, and a whole bundle of quality of life improvements both at launch and through DLC expansions. Sticking to the same policy as Total War: Warhammer, Creative Assembly has divided the sequel’s DLC into three distinct categories: Expansions, Lord Packs, and free DLC....

The wood elves of Total War: Warhammer 2 will be the first faction to receive a two-for-one Legendary Lord Combo in the game’s upcoming Twisted & The Twilight DLC. This legendary duo, known as The Sisters of Twilight, will bring powerful new units into battle, including a giant forest dragon as a mount. The wood elves recently received a massive reworking in the latest Warhammer 2 update. The faction was one of the earliest races to be included in the first Warhammer’s DLC content, making them one of the most sensible factions to receive an update....

Totally Accurate Battlegrounds is now a free-to-play title. Previously retailing for $4.99, you can now pick up the wacky battle royale free of charge on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Indie developer Landfall mentioned the change will also include a major refresh for a large portion of the game. “Totally Accurate Battlegrounds is a parody of the Battle Royale genre,” Landfall said of the game. “A bunch of physics-based weirdos fight it out on an island, everything is silly and possibly a bit buggy....

If you are one of the 13 million people currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 you may have noticed a few things. First, there are several NSFW bugs that can make for some pretty interesting playthroughs. Next, the character creation process may be too advanced. Finally, the character Panam bears a striking resemblance to Actress Tristin Mays. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due to receive some huge changes in the form of the 3.0 update that is meant to arrive this spring, which will most likely add Joker from Persona 5 to the game, along with some much-needed buffs and nerfs to the roster. It seems that there might be some new content arriving to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the form of new modes, or rather, old modes that are returning to the series....

Ubisoft revealed a teaser trailer for its Ubisoft Forward event. The event comes at a difficult time for the company, which has just suspended several executives following accusations of abuse, including two executive vice presidents. Ubisoft has just released a short teaser video for Ubisoft Forward, which is going to take place on July 12, 2020, at 12 PM PDT. The Ubisoft teaser is just 33 seconds long, and mostly features footage from Watch Dogs Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and new battle royale game Hyper Scape....

The holiday season is almost upon us, and there are a ton of great Black Friday 2018 deals that have already gone live ahead of what is set to be the biggest shopping period of the year. With this being the case, the video game publisher and developer Ubisoft has decided to give fans of its wares a bevy of different sales on various titles, with one of the standout deals being Assassin’s Creed Odyssey going for 33% off its original price for a limited time....

Over the past couple of days, Riot Games has posted several teasers hinting that something “cold” was coming to Valorant. Some fans took this to mean the arrival of a new Valorant map set somewhere in the arctic. These fans were right. Using its many social media accounts, Riot Games has confirmed that Valorant will be getting a new map called “Icebox” with the upcoming Episode 1, Act 3 update....

Valve is creeping into paid user-generated content once again, though the system in place for DOTA 2 is remarkably different than the failed Skyrim workshop. It was almost a year that ago that Valve made the controversial decision to allow modification creators to charge for content within the Skyrim workshop. The idea had some merit, but a lack of security in place to prevent fraudulent posts and plenty of concern from fans prompted the company to nix the idea shortly after it had been announced....

Returning to a virtual version of the UK capital via Watch Dogs: Legion, it’s pretty clear things aren’t quite how I remember them. True, that’s partially because real-life London isn’t a surveillance state run by a private military company, but also because I don’t remember the city being so damned pretty....

Everyone has their favourite Pokemon spinoff game. For some, it’s Mystery Dungeon, others prefer Snap, Stadium, or PokePark. They are all, however, wrong. Pokemon Colosseum is the best spinoff title in Pokemon history, and I really hope another one gets made. I don’t mean a remake or a remaster - though I would also welcome that - I want a full-blown sequel on the Nintendo Switch. This isn’t the only franchise I want another game in, I’ve also written about the need for a new Pirates of the Caribbean game and a PS5 revival of the MotorStorm franchise....

It’s been reported that the movie will not only include Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, taking over from the late Tony Stark as Peter’s mentor, but also Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina, reprising their roles as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Dr. Octopus from the original Spider-Man 2 respectively. It’s also long been rumored that these villains will be bringing along their own Spider-Men, played once again by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire....

The popularity of The Witcher franchise has increased dramatically over recent years thanks in large to the fantastic Witcher 3 and the equally amazing Netflix series. These both serve as wonderful jumping off points for the series, but many will eventually find themselves backtracking to the place where it all began. The Witcher is starting to show its age a little, which is perhaps to be expected from a game that is now more than 13 years old....

Romantic intrigue may not be the first thing that comes to mind concerning a grizzled old monster slayer like Geralt. In The Witcher, The White Wolf delves into relationships more often than one would imagine (the serious ones at least). Two of the mainstays for Geralt are Triss Merigold with her scarlet hairdo, and Yennefer of Vengerberg with her black, silky hair. (This visual distinction didn’t carry over into the show....

When not relying on his trusty steel and silver sword, his colorful signs, or his stubborn horse Roach, Geralt has to chug down some witcher potions in order to perform his job. It’s not easy as they’re toxic and their ingredients also come from the monsters he slays which is quite ironic considering their innards are helping their enemies. That very well means Geralt has to toil quite a lot in order to get the ingredients for his prized witcher potions....

CD Projekt Red’s social media announcement format for Cyberpunk 2077 has become infamous among those who follow the company on its social media accounts. Specifically, the black text on a yellow background format that players are now overly familiar with because of how often they see it, such as when CD Projekt Red announced Cyberpunk 2077 would be delayed to December 10. The format has become so infamous that social media users began creating their own formats to post memes using the black text on yellow background style of Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red....

RoboCop action figures are coming back. For some reason. No, we don’t know why. Maybe it’s because of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath? So there’s a strange revival happening to RoboCop right now. Hiya Toys is coming out with a limited-run of 1:18-scale action figures from all of the RoboCop movies. That’s the original movie from 1987 all the way to the 2014 reboot starring Joel Kinnaman. You’ll have your choice of pristine armor or “battle damaged” for the RoboCops from movies 1-through-3, while 2014 RoboCop will have interchangeable hands so he can swap weapons....
