Vampires remain enigmatic creatures in horror media, including Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher Saga. Interestingly, Sapkowski’s work - which will later get adapted into games, courtesy of CD Projekt Red - sends Vampires outside its usual stereotypes. As such, Geralt’s skirmishes with Vampires in The Witcher 3 result in multiple endings. Moreover, players will soon find out that Vampires share different classifications, abilities, and even weaknesses that make them unique from one another....

The cast of The Witcher has just grown bigger as Netflix is adding new faces to the ever-growing family of fantasy stars. They’ll stand alongside Henry Cavil and co but a familiar voice from the game will reportedly come to meet a second Geralt. Alastair Parker, or the dwarf Cleaver in Wild Hunt, has apparently been cast in an unknown role. The second season will also feature Richard Cunningham and Michele Moran in yet-to-be-announced roles....

The Nintendo 3DS is receiving another nail in its coffin, as it has been revealed that the YouTube app for the system will soon cease to be supported by Google. Nintendo 3DS users have received a notification confirming that the YouTube app will cease to work at the end of August. There has also been a post on the official Japanese Nintendo website confirming that the YouTube app will no longer be supported as of September 3....

2020’s been a real grease fire, and I’m a much different woman now than I was going into it. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been available some time now, and players are patiently waiting for the release of Season 1. Not only will the first season of content bring new maps and bug fixes, but it will also see a rebalancing for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weaponry — something that the Flak Jacket perk desperately needs. Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most graphically impressive games of the past generation. The realism of the world is undeniable, from the gorgeous landscapes to Arthur Morgan’s realistic beard growth. The game is so real-looking, in fact, that a TV station confused it with real life. A Reddit post has blown up on r/RedDeadOnline. The post claims that someone sent an image into a local news station as a part of a segment about the great outdoors....

Update: they’ve beaten Bowser - now to escape the crumbling moon! Somehow, a hivemind of gamers has managed to amicably share a controller long enough to get Mario all the way from the Cap Kingdom to Super Mario Odyssey’s final Bowser battle at the heart of the moon. Phasmophobia, the fear of ghosts, is a fitting name for a horror game, but that’s not why Phasmophobia has suddenly become an indie game sensation, nor why it’s quickly become one of the top games on Twitch. Yet, even watching a Phasmophobia stream on Twitch may not immediately help clarify what the game is. It’s a four-player co-op horror game in which the players hunt for ghosts, but there’s a depth to Phasmophobia beyond that....

We might have a new multiplayer Xbox Series X game on our hands, as recently an entry titled “Incursion VMC” was listed on the Microsoft store by Ubisoft. The listing was removed shortly after, driving fans into a frenzy of thoughts as to what it just might be. This act by Ubisoft isn’t really a first though - as game developers have been known to pull this move on the Microsoft store....

E3 is right around the corner, and now Ubisoft has unveiled its lineup for the annual gaming event. In a creative video, Ubisoft highlights last year’s E3 presentation, then proceeds to list the featured titles for this year’s presentation. A few surprises are also teased at the end. The video highlights seven games that will take the spotlight at E3. First, there’s Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. The first Division is notable for selling more copies in the course of one day than any other Ubisoft game, according to the company in a 2016 website post....

UCLA Esports called Fortnite uncompetitive and subsequently removed the game from their upcoming season, citing a lack of a consistent collegiate organizer and issues with game balance, among other things. The news may surprise some, while but not all, as this has been discussed as a significant potential issue that Epic Games should address soon. For some time now, some of the most well known competitive players and influential streamers of the game have discussed numerous issues that could prevent Fortnite from being taken seriously as an esport in the long term....

Riot Games takes cheating very seriously, especially when it comes to Valorant. The game won’t even boot up unless the anti-cheat software that it comes with — “Vanguard” — is present on the device trying to run the game. Riot believes these measures to be bearing fruit, however, as Philip Koskinas — the engineer behind Riot Games’ anti-cheat software — recently took to Twitter to announce that Valorant has banned 8873 cheaters....

In VALORANT’s 1.04 patch, Viper received a series of massive buffs that the developers believe will bring her into competitive viability. Currently, the agent is seeing the lowest play rate throughout most ranks and rarely sees the light of day in professional tournaments. The series of buffs begin with Viper’s ultimate ability. She can now spend 15 seconds, an increase from 5 seconds, outside of her ultimate. Viper players can now drop the ultimate early by holding down the ultimate key....

Veteran actor and face of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Wilford Brimley passed away over the weekend at the age of 85. Brimley, whose smooth voice and bushy mustache were unmistakeable, was also known for his Quaker Oats commercials and more infamously his PSA’s on behalf of ADA where his pronunciation of ‘diabeetus’ spawned a wave of memes back in the 00’s. During his acting career, he starred in a wide range of productions such as The Waltons, John Carpenter’s 1982 remake of The Thing and sitcom classic Seinfeld....

Bohemia Interactive’s free-to-play multiplayer shooter looter Vigor recently opened fire on Season Five with the Renegades update. The fifth season of the Vigor Battle Pass launched simultaneously on two platforms (Xbox One and Nintendo Switch) and brings with it a brand new map, new map rotation, a new Encounter play mode, multiple new weapons and cosmetic items, and a cool new explosive toy to play with. Vigor Season 5: Renegades comes with a leaded dose of Wild West flavor....
