The game was even described by Guinness as proof that gaming had finally gone from a niche hobby to the big time, meanwhile the game’s impact was so great that it also sparked debate across the world about video games, their impact on our behavior and the changing face of entertainment as a whole....

While speaking on a recent Vanity Fair podcast, Tom Holland stated that his upcoming film, Uncharted, is a cross between Indiana Jones and James Bond. This comes after the 24-year-old stated that he’d love to suit up and play agent 007. Holland, who is best known for playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in five MCU films, is starring as Nathan Drake in the live-action movie adaptation of the best-selling video game series. Sub-a-thons aren’t new to Twitch, though the most recent one has been live for a seven-days straight. One of Twitch’s most popular streamers, Ludwig Ahgren, has been live since March 14, and with over 50 hours still left on the clock and an exponentially growing amount of subscribers, it’s clear the stream isn’t ending any time soon. Last week, Ahgren kicked off a sub-a-thon encouraging as many viewers as possible to subscribe to his channel with a specific rule in place....

Even though Ubisoft has its own E3 style digital event later this month, the company isn’t wasting any time revealing new games. Earlier this week, new information surfaced online regarding the company’s attempt to dive into the battle royale genre with a game called Hyper Scape. Only a few days later, the game is not only real but it has already rocketed up the Twitch charts. Pulling what some would called an Apex Legends style reveal, Hyper Scape seemingly appeared out of nowhere and thanks to being featured on major Twitch channels, the game has already massed a lot of popularity....

It’s that time of the year when the biggest names in video games set out their plans for the next year and beyond. Most recently, Ubisoft was in on the action, with the publisher revealing that financial year 2018-2019 will see the release of four AAA games, including a new intellectual property. The news comes courtesy of Ubisoft itself, through its earnings report for the financial year. As well as setting out both its successes of the year just gone and its immediate plans for the future, the publisher was keen to share a little about what 2018-2019 has in store....

It may only be a a few weeks since first-person shooter fans first started piloting Titans, but that doesn’t mean it’s too soon to start looking at what’s to come for the franchise. With Titanfall players already running around with totally maxed-out pilots and rumbles of a sequel making the rounds, we seem to be right on schedule for some information about upcoming DLC. Most players that have been sinking serious hours into the shooter/mech multiplayer game are likely prepared (and maybe even looking forward) to dropping ten dollars or so for some new content sooner than later....

Looks like the long-awaited Venom 2 trailer may be just around the corner. A new rumor has the trailer debuting tomorrow, May 10, and while nothing has been confirmed by Sony the news seems to come from a fairly reliable source. According to a tweet by @nacaomarvel, the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage might be hitting the Internet tomorrow. They seem to have gotten this information from Daniel Richtman, @DanielRPK, a user known for sharing movie news and information....

Waluigi is an internet icon with gamers, though his status in Nintendo is diminutive. He makes up half the comedic duo archetype being the tall lanky one, the more appreciated role in many cases. His presence in memes is everywhere which further drives this internet persona and influences more people to go to the Waluigi side and favor him for inclusion in many of Nintendo’s crossover properties. Back when the game released in 2015, Batman Arkham Knight had one of the most infamously terrible PC ports in recent memory. From bugs and glitches to full-on crashes, the game was such a mess that Batman Arkham Knight had to be pulled from PC storefronts as Rocksteady attempted to fix its severe issues. The port has transformed into a much more competent PC game over the years, as is evidenced by a recent video by YouTuber Bang4BuckPC Gamer, who played Batman Arkham Knight with high settings in 8K....

It was perhaps inevitable that Watch Dogs, Ubisoft Montreal’s long-awaited open-world hacking game, would itself become a target for hackers. In what could be cleverly-designed meta-commentary, the developer has had a lot of difficulty preventing information and footage leaks from Watch Dogs and other games, like Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and recently had to release a warning on Twitter that “Hackers have attempted to infiltrate our system and post false reviews of Watch Dogs....

Stephen King’s The Stand is officially coming to CBS All Access on December 17th. It’s currently scheduled to air one episode every Thursday for nine weeks. The finale is written by Stephen King himself, adding a new ending onto the story that he’s reportedly been thinking about for 30 years. The Stand is based on King’s 1978 novel, in which a bioengineered superflu with a nearly 100% kill rate escapes from a Department of Defense laboratory....

The coronavirus pandemic has caused AMC to put its plans for The Walking Dead on hold, with the channel unable to air The Walking Dead Season 10 finale as planned due to unfinished post-production. This delay has extended to the planned Walking Dead movie about Rick Grimes, though franchise creator Robert Kirkman has given fans an update on the film’s progress.
