During The Witcher 3’s Hearts of Stone expansion, Geralt is forced to do the bidding of the evil Gaunter O’Dimm. The witcher’s main task is to end the pact between the villain and Olgierd von Everec. It makes for a deep and compelling narrative, and you get to decide how it all plays out. There are two distinct endings to choose from; one involves O’Dimm taking the soul of Olgierd; whereas, the other has Geralt outsmarting the Man of Glass....

A world record speedrun of The Witness was recently completed on video, and the victor actually took a break mid-stream to go out and get a fish sandwich. Jonathan Blow’s The Witness has been making waves since the game was released in January, and many dedicated gamers have successfully found their way through all of the game’s intriguing puzzles. Naturally, a subset of these puzzle-beaters have begun doing speed runs in The Witness, and the unofficial world record has switched hands more than a few times since the game’s release....

Amplitude Studios released a new trailer this week for Endless Universe, the shared universe that loosely connects Endless Space, Endless Legend, Dungeon of the Endless, and the upcoming Endless Dungeon. Endless Space and Endless Legend are both 4X strategy games, and though Endless Space references some events from Endless Legend, they are more akin to sci-fi and fantasy counterparts similar to Warhammer’s 40k and Age of Sigmar franchises. While The Endless Universe trailer may overestimate how much is actually shared between these games, it succeeds at making each game in the series feel like individual pieces in a big narrative puzzle....

It’s rather sad to think that most people only remember the Bat nipples from Joel Schumacher’s Batman adaptations. Batman Forever and Batman & Robin have casting choices and stiff action scenes that some find questionable, and its camp tone is certainly an acquired taste in this day and age. This is why it was surprising to hear of a Batman Forever campaign in circulation, advocating for the release of a 170-minute director’s cut in the late director’s honor....

For a franchise that’s been around for more than 20 years, the Pokémon series has had its fair share of highs, lows, and everything in-between. Respawn Entertainment lead writer Jesse Stern confirms that Titanfall 2 will have a single player campaign, and that a TV series is in development at Lionsgate TV. With the original Titanfall selling over 10 million units, it would be hard to argue that it wasn’t a success. However, the game was not without its critics, with one of the most common complaints from gamers being Titanfall’s lack of a true single player campaign....

It’s a good time to be a fan of classic real-time strategy games: first the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection goes gold, and now the landmark Sci-Fi RTS Total Annihilation is available for free on GoG.com. The 1997 classic might not look like much by modern standards, but its 3D battlefields, massive scope and giant armies turned quite a few heads back in the day. The game takes place in a universe torn apart by war between two robotic armies, and features destructible environments, explosions that send shrapnel flying unpredictably through the air, and a battle system that relies far more on unit placement than it does on how large of an army you can amass in one place....

The management simulation game Tropico 6 will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch on November 6 for $49.99. In addition to its debut on Nintendo’s small screen, the series’ sixth title is also available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Announced during Nintendo’s latest Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Tropico 6 will soon be available to every aspiring world dominator on the Switch console. The simulation’s Switch release date joined other announcements during the Direct, including the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity free demo, the arrival of Hitman 3, and Bravely Default 2’s February 26, 2021 release date....

French gaming outfit Ubisoft has announced its latest quarterly earnings report, giving investors the inside scoop on the company’s next-gen schedule. Speaking with shareholders on Thursday evening, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot unveiled a prospective first quarter release date for persistent-online driving title The Crew, as well as a vague late year launch window for shooter MMO The Division (both 2014). In addressing Ubisoft’s comparatively tame second quarter showing (down 42% from Q2 2012) Guillemot noted the company’s surprisingly strong back catalog sales....

Ubisoft Executive Alain Corre is saying that the publisher is already planning a ‘wide variety’ of software to release for the Nintendo Switch in 2017. Over 50 publishers and developers have publicly declared their future support of the Nintendo Switch, but none have been as open about their enthusiasm as Ubisoft. On multiple occasions, Ubisoft has said that it’s planning and evaluating the extent of support for Nintendo’s upcoming console. For now Nintendo’s holding back on further details until 2017, meaning that Ubisoft can’t officially announce the scope of its support, but until then it will keep talking....

Ubisoft’s pirate game Skull and Bones continues to be MIA, despite being formally announced three years ago and initially having a 2018 release. Reports that the game has being having a turbulent development would explain the delay and now it’s just lost its managing director. Hughes Ricour, the managing director of Ubisoft Singapore (the studio responsible for Skull and Bones), has reportedly been removed from the position following a leadership audit....

According to managing director Pete Samuels, Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games plans on moving on from creating PlayStation-exclusive projects in the future. After working mainly on DLC for the LittleBigPlanet franchise, independent studio Supermassive Games was commissioned by Sony to create a new IP. The result was Until Dawn, a clever homage to slasher horror films, that also turned out to be one of the surprise hits of 2015, with the game featured near the top of the August 2015 sales charts....

With Batman easily being one of the most popular comic book heroes of all time, if not the most popular, it’s no surprise that there have been many films based on him over the years. A variety of actors have all taken a stab at the role, with most appearing as Batman at least a couple of times before hanging up the cowl. However, Val Kilmer only played Batman once, in the film Batman Forever, and has now revealed why he didn’t return for Batman & Robin....

One of the best parts of any game that focuses on combat is the wide array of weapons you have at your disposal to fight off enemies and bosses. In Valheim, the weapons you’ll need to craft can make the difference between life and death. Each available weapon deals a specific type of damage (pierce damage, blunt damage, elemental damage, etc.), has block power and some of them even have a secondary attack....

It took just a couple of short gameplay sessions for me to quickly fall in love with Iron Gate’s Valheim. Much to the dismay of my friends, I’m a bit of a survival game connoisseur. Every time there’s a new Early Access game that sports some variation of terrible hunger mechanics, hunting, and building shabby fortresses, I add it to my Steam library. Over the years, I’ve experienced plenty of neat little games this way, but most of the time, it’s just a painful exercise in convincing five other people to spend $20 with me and suffer for a week until I admit defeat and drop it....

Reddit user Vehementtoast has found eight glitched spots where Sova’s drone can fly out-of-bounds in various VALORANT maps. These bugged areas allow the drone to fly under the map itself, going undetected by enemies while still scoping out their locations. The glitches are being looked at by the game’s devs, according to developer Rycoux’s comment on the Reddit post. The first glitch spot shown in the video is on Haven, near the A bombsite....

Grand Theft Auto 6 rumors are a dime-a-dozen, and various details do not typically correlate. It was surprising then when various GTA 6 rumors indicated that an official reveal was coming on March 25, but at the same time, that was simply chalked up as coincidence at most. However, recent updates to websites connected to the game may suggest that there’s more to it than initially thought. Typically, website domains and whatnot connected to Grand Theft Auto 6 forward viewers to an official GTA or Rockstar Games website, but that’s changed....

Those who were not entirely loving WandaVision levied criticisms that the show was providing only a few minutes of plot amidst a more classic sitcom feel. For those who loved sitcoms growing up, this was not seen as an issue, and most Marvel fans could agree that this show had provided one of the more thought provoking entries in the MCU thus far. Well, the naysayers better get ready for one doozy of an episode this week that changes pretty much everything about what the viewer knew was going on....
