Thursday saw the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition on the Epic Games Store. The game was made available on EGS as the storefront launched its Epic Mega Sale, which offered major discounts on dozens of games. The Witcher 3 is a part of that sale, and remains so. However, it appears that CD Projekt Red has now adjusted the game’s price to avoid giving EGS users the best possible discount....

Looks like something pretty weird is happening behind-the-scenes at Nintendo. About a week ago, Nintendo quietly removed over half of the DSiWare library from the North American eShop. Now, most of those titles have returned. Whether this was an unintentional mishap by Nintendo or whether they are planning something larger remains to be seen. On January 2, hundreds of the DSiWare titles on the 3DS eShop had suddenly gone missing. Almost every game released before May 2011, around 250 titles, was removed....

Spider-Man and Uncharted actor Tom Holland has officially been announced as one of the presenters for The Game Awards 2020, which will take place next Thursday, December 10. The news comes from The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley, who recently took to Twitter in order to announce that Holland would be participating in next week’s highly-anticipated event. In Fable 3, like many of the franchise’s other titles, there’s a large number of weapons that can become player favorites, but some are rarer than others. In quite a few cases, certain weapons can only be acquired randomly from different treasure chests across Albion. A popular modder has created nearly a dozen funny and scary mods of the Resident Evil 3 remake demo. The Resident Evil 3 remake demo has only been available to download and play since Friday, making the quick release of mods all the more surprising. On YouTube, modder FluffyQuack has shared nine videos of all of the different mods they’ve made for the Resident Evil 3 remake demo. All of the mods are available to download for free but as the full version of the Resident Evil 3 remake is out next week, fans may not have time to enjoy all of them....

GTA 5 is no longer at the top of the PlayStation download charts as fan-favorite franchises return to the top spots. PlayStation’s monthly charts are gradually starting to evolve as more and more people manage to get their hands on PS5s. However, as is demonstrated via the charts in the US and Europe for March 2021, fan-favorite franchises will also be there or thereabouts. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was the most downloaded game from the PS Store in the US, while FIFA 21 was the best seller in Europe....

When Ubisoft announced Transference back at E3 2017, there wasn’t much known about the game aside from that it was a horror VR experience with Elijah Wood. We now know that the game is based in a corrupted digital simulation, which in turn is based on the collective brain data of a troubled scientists’s family. This means gamers will run into plenty of pixelated problems in Transference, as they jump between memories and dimensions, with the digital realm appearing to be full of shadows, secrets, and even something stalking the player....

A Twitch streamer learned the hard way why streamers shouldn’t go AFK in the middle of a stream when his mom shares wholesome childhood details in a broadcast. In news that does nothing but encourage speculation, Ubisoft changed the official Rabbids Twitter account’s username to “MarioRabbids” for a little while before reverting it back to “RabbidsOfficial” - and nobody noticed until recently. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle released in 2017 to critical acclaim. It won Best Strategy title at The Game Awards, and would go on to make an impressive profit in the years following. A sequel probably seemed like a no-brainer to many of us, although three years have gone by with no word on one....

Undertale is one of those indie games that managed to defy the odds to reach an enormous audience on the strength of its content. Not many games, indie or otherwise, have such a devoted fan base. Part of Undertale’s lasting appeal is that it’s easy for fans to form an emotional connection with its lovable cast of characters. The wise-cracking skeleton Sans is possibly the most well-known character from the game....

The closed beta for VALORANT, Riot Games’ newest competitive FPS, is here and eager players are hungry to get access. For those unfamiliar, VALORANT is an upcoming FPS tactical game featuring a variety of playable characters, called agents, that all bring a unique skillset to the team. While many of the agents available were shown off during the alpha, a new hero was revealed at the beginning of the closed beta, Raze....

Valorant has taken strides to establish itself as a competitor in the hero shooter market. While hype for the game is not quite as high as its first release, it still has a dedicated playerbase and group of streamers. The game continues to update itself as well, with Valorant’s next patch promising to address stream snipers, among other things. Valorant’s arrival on the scene was a bit sudden, and it has been cleaned up significantly since players got their hands on it....

Universal Pictures really wants people to head to theaters in June to see F9. The Fast & Furious franchise is a multi-billion-dollar affair, and before the pandemic, F9 was promising to be yet another surefire blockbuster. During the pandemic, though, is another question entirely. Vaccines are well on their way in every state, with vaccination rates ranging from 30 to 50%, depending on the state. However, new COVID-19 cases remain stubbornly high at over 50,000 per day....

Video game studio Musclebird Games recently announced its first-person top-down espionage hybrid Waiting for the Raven has been updated to version 1.0, bringing it out of the Steam Early Access cage and into full public release. Along with its freebird status, the game received a number of new additions and game-wide adjustments, as well as plenty of bug fixes, and a new feature trailer. Waiting for the Raven is billed as “an experimental atmospheric hybrid of first-person & top-down espionage experience....

The following contains spoilers for WandaVision episode 5. “You didn’t see that coming?” The Marvel Cinematic Universe received one of its all-time biggest surprises in the closing moments of WandaVision’s fifth episode. Though plenty of fans were awaiting a showstopping cameo, it’s hard to imagine anyone expecting just who was on the other side of Vis and Wanda’s front door: Pietro Maximoff, Wanda’s pseudo-speedster brother who was tragically gunned down during the Battle of Sokovia in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, appears miraculously alive and well....

This episode contains spoilers for all of WandaVision. For Marvel fans, the last few episodes of Wandavision have been an emotional rollercoaster. Despite the series starting in a cryptic fashion, not revealing the entire plot or set-up, a sad conclusion has recently become apparent: Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) is the ‘baddy’ of the series. Whether wiping Vision’s (Paul Bettany) memory, sending Monia Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) flying through a series of walls, or even briefly mind-controlling SWORD agents so that they’d point their guns at each other (which was very cool, but very evil), the character has quickly cemented herself as the villain of the show....
