Since early details were revealed about VALORANT, the upcoming tactical FPS from Riot Games, the obvious comparison has been made to CS:GO and it isn’t difficult to see why. This Warzone player showcased some incredible driving skills, killing an entire enemy team and then hopping out to revive their downed teammate. Fortnite had been around for a very long time before Epic decided it was safe to add vehicles into the mix. Even then, it only dipped its proverbial toe in the water by adding souped-up golf carts, to begin with. Final Fantasy VII Remake will take up Square Enix’s time for the next few years, but it’s possible that the game derailed plans for another sequel that took place after Dirge of Cerberus. Final Fantasy VII has two sequels in the form of Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus. Advent Children resolved a lot of the dangling plot threads from the original game, while Dirge of Cerberus added a bunch of new ones....

The Google Stadia Connect livestream held this morning unveiled major games coming to the streaming platform like Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler, but also plenty of unique indie games like the co-op fire fighting simulator Embr. One of the more interesting titles advertised was Funktronic Labs’ Wave Break, which appears to be a cartoony blend between the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater franchise and Wave Race 64. The easiest way to summarize Wave Break is that it looks to be a jet skiing simulator where players can do traditionally skateboarding-centric tricks like grinding on rails....

This week, Ubisoft released its newest mobile game, Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, which faced immediate backlash over the game’s controversial trailer. The trailer depicts the shadowy organization UMBRA, who are manipulating those angry over “wars, corruption and poverty,” heavily implied to be Black protesters and anti-fascist activists. The trailer drew specific criticism for the depiction of the Black Power fist as a symbol of UMBRA, to the point that Ubisoft decided to remove the symbol to save face....

The new red band trailer for The Suicide Squad is here, and it is just as gnarly as promised while being removed from the original movie just enough to look awesome. DC had a crack at turning its Suicide Squad into a movie a few years ago but didn’t have much luck. Half a decade later, it is giving it another go. The Suicide Squad isn’t a sequel, nor has it been labeled a reboot, but as was already confirmed and has now been shown off in the new trailer, which you can check out below, it does keep some of the elements from the first movie....
