Finding lofty acclaim from fans and critics alike, The Outer Worlds made quite the splash when it debuted last year, with Obsidian’s latest project being heralded as perhaps one of the best RPGs the studio had made to date. From an extensive set of dialogue options to quests that put player choice at the forefront, it felt like The Outer Worlds was a worthy successor to the studio’s work on Fallout: New Vegas.

Of course, as with any great game, players wanted more, and it seemed as though they were about to get it when Obsidian revealed it had two new story DLCs in the works. Not much else was revealed about the additional content in the months following its announcement, however, it seems as though that silence could end very soon, with the company seemingly teasing some fresh information about what’s next for The Outer Worlds.

“Greetings employees of Halcyon,” a new message reads on the game’s Twitter page. “The Board is pleased to announce that we have been able to acquire a portion of The Outer Worlds website! Feel free to take an additional 5-minute break today to visit the website, you’ve earned it!” While the message itself doesn’t seem to hint at any story details, the website has indeed been updated, with viewers being greeted by a notice telling them to “stay tuned for a special message from Spacer’s Choice.” Pressing the skip button takes them to one of several advertisements for Adrena-Time, the fictional in-game consumable that gives players the ability to slow down time.

This new motion to update the website with a fun nod to the game seems to hint that more news is coming soon, especially when factoring in that Xbox’s major next-generation showcase is debuting this Thursday. Hopefully, the conference will give players their first look at the next story set in The Outer Worlds universe, maybe even with the announcement of a free next-generation upgrade alongside it.

Other than that, it appears Thursday’s conference will come with several major new reveals, with fans speculating that Fable 4 and Perfect Dark could show up. In more official news, Halo: Infinite will be getting a big spotlight during the broadcast, with fans getting their first look at the game’s action-packed campaign. Hopefully, Obsidian will get its moment to shine, whether that’s through highlighting The Outer Worlds’ newest story DLC, offering a new look at Grounded, or perhaps even showing off something completely new.

The Outer Worlds is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
