As the mechanic of the crew of the Unreliable with a few clear connections to Kaylee from Firefly, Parvati is as adorable outside of battle as she is deadly in battle, with a neat special attack that not only deals decent damage but stuns enemies as well. Her character arc may be focused around her attempted romance with Junlei, but that doesn’t mean that players shouldn’t bring her into a firefight.
As Parvati is focused on taking down Automechanical enemies, the best weapons she can use are going to be those that deal Shock or Corrosion damage, though she is able to wield just about anything equally effectively.
10 Stun Baton
One of the easier weapons to get a hold of, particularly early on when Parvati becomes recruitable, is the Stun Baton. A simple one-handed weapon that deals decent Shock damage, this is a good early game pick before the worlds of Halcyon open up to the player and more options become available. Being a melee weapon, it also goes well with her special attack, which moves her close to an enemy and attacks them with a stunning slam that can incapacitate machines for a brief amount of time.
9 Shock Cannon
If players don’t want to put Parvati in too much danger by sending her into close-quarters combat, they can also give her a Shock Cannon instead. Like the Stun Baton, this weapon is fairly easy to obtain and can be found north-east of Edgewater in the Abandoned Outpost. While it is a decent early game projectile weapon, it will quickly become outclassed as the enemy’s levels increase. Luckily, there are several weapons that become available shortly after this that are also great for Parvati.
8 Storm Cannon
On the Olympus Orbital Pharmaceutical Station, or OOPS, players can find an upgraded version of the Shock Cannon that does significantly more damage called the Storm Cannon. Not recommended for anyone suffering from lightning-related trauma, this weapon is a great ranged option for Parvati.
Unfortunately, this weapon is only available with the Peril on Gorgon DLC, so players who don’t have this pack will have to look elsewhere for a good ranged option for their favorite mechanic.
7 Discharge
This unique weapon, like the Storm Cannon, is only available with the Peril on Gorgon DLC, but it is another projectile weapon that Parvati can make great use of. By killing Dr. Marion Blakeslee, the player can obtain this unique version of a Plasma Rifle that shoots lightning death rather than fiery death and is a good way of dealing with machines from a distance.
6 Ulti-Nature
This powerful pistol is a unique variation of the Ultimate Bolter, though fire corrosive rounds rather than plasma. This is a quest reward given to the player if they chose to return Orson Shaw’s schematics back to him rather than sell them off to Gladys, along with the similarly powerful Ultimatum pistol that also fires plasma. This is a fairly easy quest to complete, so it is a decent early-mid game option for Parvati if she is going the ranged rather than melee route.
5 Officer’s Spine
This strangely named melee weapon that deals decent corrosive damage is fairly easy to find, as it isn’t limited to one particular level, but it can be easily missed as many of its locations require either a specific keycard or a high enough Lockpick level. The easiest place, and one of the earliest, that players can find the Officer’s Spine is in Orson Shaw’s building in Roseway, where it is behind a locked door requiring a level 15 Lockpick skill.
4 Aqua Regia
Yet another unique variation of a common weapon that is only found in the Peril on Gorgon DLC, the Aqua Regia is a variation of the Plasma Cutter that deals both corrosion damage as well as being capable of inflicting the Burn effect.
Inside the Gorgon Canyon CHEM Lab, in the lower levels, is a room that requires Jasper’s Storage Key to unlock and leads to an underground facility. On the table beside the computer console is the Aqua Regia, which will be very useful against the Primals that lurk within the facility.
3 Rapti-prod
While Tossball might be Felix’s game of choice, that’s no reason to not let Parvati in on the fun. In Roseway, during the quest The Amateur Alchemist, players can come across this unique variation of the Tossball Stick in Cover Labs that not only deals decent shock damage but also does additional damage to Raptidons as well, making it a decent weapon for Roseway in general.
2 Hammer of Olympus
Off in a faraway corner of Monarch, there is a hammer hiding in plain sight that is one of the better two-handed weapons in the game, which can also be found fairly early on. Near the C3 Barracks and UDL Lab, just north of Devil’s Peak Station, is a marked location called Sundered Rock, where the hammer can be found near the cliff edge between two rocks.
1 Prismatic Hammer
Considered one of the best weapons in the game, it can be tempting to keep the Prismatic Hammer for the player character. However, if the player doesn’t use two-handed weapons, Parvati is an excellent choice for a companion to hold onto it for them. On the Groundbreaker, turn into the first large storage room on the left after entering the main shopping section and into the bunk room. Climbing on the boxes beside the bunks will allow access to a hidden area in the back of the station holding some smugglers who need killing. In this area is a locked door that requires a level 60 Lockpick skill to open, but holds the Prismatic Hammer inside.
