After months of inactivity, WWE finally released The Revival from their contracts, allowing the popular tag team to pursue opportunities elsewhere. While we still don’t know what the next step will be for The Revival in terms of which promotions they will be wrestling at, we do know what their new names will be.

For the uninitiated, WWE often trademarks the names of its wrestlers whenever possible, preventing them from using those names in other companies. The Revival is no different, and so the duo formerly known as Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are now Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, respectively. Collectively, it seems as though they will be known as FTR, though it’s unclear exactly what FTR is meant to stand for at the time of this writing.

Previously, Dax Harwood has said on Twitter that FTR stands for “Forever The Revival,” though The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes have instead said “F*** The Revival.” Since it seems Harwood and Wheeler left WWE on somewhat unfavorable terms, it’s certainly possible that the team is going with the latter meaning, but that remains to be seen.

If FTR goes to AEW as many have predicted, perhaps the true meaning of FTR will be revealed, and fans will also get to see the tag team dream match between FTR and The Young Bucks. Wrestling fans will just have to stay tuned to find out.
