The Sims 4 gives players the tools to create a highly customizable world to their liking. To date, there have been eight The Sims 4 expansion packs, each adding new objects and Sim personalizations. Players are inventing challenges to keep the game enticing. You can become a vagrant (which we highly recommend you try), live the life of a Disney character, or create a new profession.

The Sims 4’s world is filled with possibilities waiting to be uncovered. All it takes is imagination and dedication (no rhyme intended). These are 10 tiny things you never knew you could do in The Sims 4.

Updated July 31st, 2020 By Helen Ashcroft: With new content comes new opportunities and recent updates and packs have given Simmers even more new ways to play the game. Eco Lifestyle offered opportunities to change your world through your actions, affecting the environment in both positive and negative ways. It also brought us ladders!

As the game continues to evolve, players are always finding new things to do, new ways to test (and sometimes break) the game, and new challenges to play. With this in mind, we’ve updated this article to let you know about some more little things you can do in your game.

15 Stop Unwanted Visitors

The Eco Lifestyle free update gave us one of the most useful features we’ve seen so far. If you click on your front door you now have the ability to determine who comes in and out of your house.

You can stop vampires, solicitors, which includes the welcome wagon, friends, or family from randomly visiting. If you’re friends with Tina Tinker you’ll find this especially helpful since she’s one of the most over-enthusiastic visitors in the game.

14 Change Your Puddles

An old but classic easter egg is changing the shape of puddles on the floor. If you have a broken sink then now you can make the experience more enjoyable. Simply wait until the puddle is huge and then go into build mode.

If you click the design tool then the puddle you’ll see four swatches appear. These are different puddle shapes. Our favorite is the fourth one which is a duck puddle.

13 Become A Plant Sim

Originally, the ability to become a plant sim was tied to a seasonal quest. However, you can still complete the task if you have level 10 gardening or some cheats. You’ll just need the “Magic PlantSim Stump” and the rare seeds that contain magic beans.

Putting one seed of each color in the stump will produce a tree you can tend. Then, once it’s grown, your sim can eat the forbidden fruit to turn themselves into a plant sim, no Jasmine Holiday required.

12 Get A Free House Without Cheats

The tutorial we have in the game today is a revamped version of the original and what many players don’t realize is that playing through it can give you a free house with a nice set of skill-building items.

In the tutorial, you are given a house and a roommate to help guide you through the basics of the game. The home is in Willow Creek and is a good size. Once you’ve completed the tutorial your roommate will move out and you can continue to play the household, keeping both the house and your intact starter money.

11 Utilize The Get Together Club System

If you have Get Together then we encourage you to play with the club system. At first, it may seem dull. If you don’t want to spend your time parting, gardening, or painting with friends why would you use it? Well, the answer is because it’s incredibly powerful.

The club system will bring a handful of sims to a place you set, wearing whatever you specify before they perform tasks that you ask them to. You can use it to make family gatherings easier, create unique parties, or even set up an underground painting club for profit. You can even get your house cleaned for free.

10 Recreate Disney Characters

Creating a Sim in The Sims 4 is more intuitive and advanced than any previous The Sims game. One tiny thing you can do provides hours of satisfaction. Using The Sims 4’s creator tools, you could create Disney Princesses like Elsa, Snow White, and Cinderella.

Play around with the personality settings and make selections based on the personality you think they should have. Small nuances like this give The Sims 4 lasting appeal. Show off your design prowess. Which Disney characters can you create?

9 Build An Adoption Center

Some players have broached the idea for an adoption center. Although potentially controversial, an adoption center could allow players to choose an adopted child instead of receiving one at random.

Along the same lines, players can create an adoption center based out of their home. Adopt numerous kids and raise them because it’s the right thing to do. You won’t earn money, but at least those virtual kids will get the home they deserve.

8 Attempt The 100 Baby Challenge!

We’ve seen numerous challenges, such as the MasterChef Challenge, Asylum Challenge, and the Black Widow Challenge. None, however, are as well-known as the 100 Baby Challenge.

Basically, the objective of the 100 Baby Challenge is to have as many babies as possible in as few generations as you can. There are rules to the challenge, such as the need to use the youngest lady in the house as a surrogate. You can lose the challenge if the eldest lady in your home can no longer conceive. This will happen if your youngest woman ages into a senior.

7 Seduce The Grim Reaper

Despite the grim reaper being the last person you would picture yourself in a relationship with, those who dabble in danger ought to give this one a try. Much like other Sims in the game, you can converse and interact with the grim reaper.

Those with a fetish for a menace may even want to go a step further by seducing the grim reaper. You may genuinely enjoy a relationship with this gloomy figure.

6 Become A Homeless Teen Who Steals To Get By

The most recent The Sims game, The Sims 4, added more exploration than ever before. More exploration opens up the possibility for players to enter various houses to do vital tasks like cooking, showering, and more.

Sims with the Kleptomaniac trait can use an interaction called ‘Attempt to Swipe.’ As long as an item is not in your home, kleptos can swipe objects. Try creating a teenager who finds their way in the world by stealing to get by. You’ll find yourself in both a humorous and dreary situation.

5 Earn Simoleons By Taking Photographs

You could earn a prosperous living by taking photographs and selling them for money in The Sims 4. The cost of the camera may make you want to reconsider the cost/benefit, but it is possible to make a return on your investment.

Some players are complaining about the resolution and quality of The Sims 4’s photographs. It would be a nice feature if one could customize their pictures with different filters and effects. Despite this, one can earn a substantial amount of money by taking photographs.

4 Create A House Of Clones With Different Traits And Aspirations

If you are one of the lucky few owners of The Sims 4: Get to Work, you might be aware of the cloning machine object. The cloning machine has its limitations since it creates clones of Sims, but it’s not able to create clones with different traits and aspirations.

Using The Sims 4’s Sim creator in the main menu, one can create a household of clones with different traits and aspirations. The result is an amusing situation that becomes more interesting as the characters develop careers and relationships.

3 Become Self-Sustainable By Fishing

Fishing is not a career ladder of The Sims 4 per se, but it is a job you can have on the side. In fact, it may even become your informal full-time profession if you dedicate enough time.

One can store fish in their fridge, which can be sold for cash or prepared for a meal. You’ll save money on food and make a little extra income on the side, which could become a relaxing full-time career. Although you don’t physically do the work yourself, having your Sim do the least amount of work might be in your best interest. Sims lose energy at a rapid rate when they work, so fishing could help them to live healthier lives.

2 Woohoo And Try For A Baby In A Tent

As long as you own The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat game pack, which we 100% recommend you purchase and install, woohoo in a tent is possible. There’s also a small chance, like with any act of woohoo, that a baby will be born.

Having a baby in a tent is probably not the most ideal way to have a baby, but nobody is judging. Apparently, the bedroom is not the only place you can have WooHoo.

1 Purchase A Baby Yoda Statue

Disney+’s popularity is credited to its various series, including The Mandalorian. The Mandolorian has become a runaway success, becoming possibly the most successful Star Wars television series to date.

Baby Yoda, a small gremlin-like alien, has become a dominant figure in pop-culture. Baby Yoda is a cultural icon, and now, players can buy a Baby Yoda statue in The Sims 4’s Buy Mode. Sims can view and appreciate the detail in the sculpture. It’s called ‘The Child Statue’ officially, but if you search ‘Baby Yoda,’ find it you will.
