The latest game pack for The Sims 4 brings the Star Wars universe into the game on a scale never seen before. The DLC adds the planet of Batuu, as well as characters, missions, clothing and build and buy items, so your sims can now create some Star Wars magic, anywhere you like.
However, this pack is not the first time simmers have taken inspiration from a galaxy far, far away. Here we take a look at a variety of builds, both new and old, that use the Star Wars locations, characters, and vibe as inspiration. Some of these show unique ways to create iconic Star Wars influenced builds without the new pack, while others use the new pack to make some unexpected creations.
10 Before: Star Wars Jungle House By The Sim Stream
This Star Wars jungle house by The Sim Stream is inspired by the idea of a spaceship crash landing on Yavin 4, a jungle planet in the Star Wars universe. It’s surrounded by jungle remains and contains some overgrown areas, showing it’s been there for some time.
Inside the spaceship style home, the vibe is very much clean and modern, giving your sims plenty of space and a lot of home comforts. The futuristic feel makes it feel very much like it belongs in the Star Wars universe.
9 After: Naboo Inspired House By Pearl V
This village by Pearl V uses the terrain tools and new pack items to create a desert town inspired by Naboo in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. It features several small dwellings and it a combination of buildings and shells.
Most of the internal shells are decorated in a variety of ways that reflect the types of places you’d expect to find in a small town.
8 Before: The Millenium Falcon By Hatsy
Long before we were given a replica Millenium Falcon to place anywhere we like, Simmers were trying to create the iconic spacecraft in The Sims 4. This replica from Hatsy is the very best we’ve seen.
It’s created from a basic building which has then been added to using items found in the game. Using hidden objects and the move objects cheats has meant Hatsy was able to carefully use vents, towels, shelves, and more to make this recognizable replica.
7 After: MsGryphi Grungy Outpost
This grungy outpost build by MsGryphi gives us steampunk vibes and was built to be an alternative to the tents used by The Resistance in Batuu. It has an apocalyptic and slightly chaotic vibe that fits well into the surrounding landscape.
While being much bigger than the original camp, the scale is small enough to ensure it doesn’t stand out too much and the interior is cozy and fitting for Resistance members to recover their energy.
6 Before: Underground Desert House By James Turner
This Star Wars-inspired home by James Turner is unusual since it’s almost entirely underground. The only visible features are a Tattooine-style dome and a couple of holes leading down to bridges and small courtyard spaces.
The home was built for James’ new series before Journey To Batuu was released. The idea was to create a functional home that would fit the Star Wars vibe and provide a great base for his Batuu-bound sim.
5 After: Star Wars Dystopia Mansion By Kate Emerald
This dystopian mansion by Kate Emerald sits in Del Sol Valley amongst homes of the stars and somehow manages to not feel out of place. It has a grungy vibe but still oozes luxury, something it’s difficult to pull off.
The build aims to showcase the versatility of the Journey To Batuu items and it does it spectacularly. It’s amazing to see just how many items fit perfectly into the spacious mansion both inside and out.
4 Before: Tatooine By Simproved
If you’ve ever wondered how to build something ridiculously complex then you’ll probably find that Simproved has tried, and succeeded, before you. Simmers who watched Spark’d will have seen a glimpse of the creativity on display here.
The marketplace and town are inspired by Tatooine and were created long before Star Wars came to the game. Each area has so much to explore and the area is packed with activities to keep all ages entertained.
3 After: Smuggler Bar By Fab Flubs
This smuggler bar by Fab Flubs uses all the extensive clutter items in Journey To Batuu to create a bar that feels like a cozy dive, perfect for those whose business is on the grey side. Building it by the docks in Brindleton Bay is a nice touch, as it adds a unique vibe to the area.
Inside is crammed with artifacts and objects sure to catch the eyes of Star Wars fans. if you want a drink where the scoundrels hang out then this bar needs to be your new watering hole.
2 Before: Ahch-To By The Alleged Simmer
In this build by The Alleged Simmer, also known as Toni Lyn, you get to see a different side of Star Wars, Ahch-To.
This is the planet where Luke Skywalker went to hideaway from everyone in The Last Jedi. It’s also the birthplace of the Jedi Order. The build marks out the landscape exactly, using terrain tools to great effect since it was built before the Star Wars pack even came out.
1 After: Jakuu Junction By Simimi
The Jakuu Junction marketplace from Star Wars has been carefully created by Simimi. It has all the features you’d expect in the bustling galactic marketplace, including produce filled stores.
Using a few crafty building cheats Simimi has created a vibrant build that captures the reality of the hub perfectly and it fits right in here in Oasis Springs.
