The Sims 4 kits have offered a mixed experience for those looking for more DLC for the game. They are marketed as “bite-size chunks of content” and offer a small amount of items for a smaller price than other packs. Due to the size, development time is reduced, allowing the team more flexibility in terms of themes. With this in mind the kits we’ve seen have focused on a specific type of gameplay - building, create-a-sim, or gameplay - as well as a more niche theme.

Courtyard Oasis is the fourth kit to be released, and the second for builders. While Country Kit suffers a little with a lack of items, Courtyard Oasis is packed full of them. The kit was said to be inspired by the Riads of Morocco and this is evident in the vibrant colors throughout the designs. Being focused on courtyards also means that the items are mainly suitable for outside, although some are more versatile. Here’s everything you can expect to find the Courtyard Oasis.

15 Sofas And Chairs

These beautiful sofas and chairs are reminiscent of those from Movie Hangout Stuff. They combine vibrant patterns, including some fierce stripes, with bright cushions. The colors are mostly bold but there are a couple of plainer swatches as well.

The sofa and chair match both in design and swatches, and are versatile enough for indoor or outdoor use. They’d also look great in a sun room or similar.

14 Tables

Courtyard Oasis has two distinct styles of table. The octagonal coffee tables come in both plain and patterned designs and make a nice centre feature for a seating area while the small circular tables are perfect to place next to a chair or sofa as a more discreet option.

The small tables in particular are very flexible for any home. They are plain and easy to match to pretty much any chair or sofa you may be using. The plainer black and brown coffee tables are also very versatile for inside use.

13 Plants

There are two new types of plant in Courtyard Oasis. The first is a large plant in a tiled planter which matches the other tiled patterns in this pack. It is best placed outside and looks amazing as a centerpiece.

The second plant is very tall and leafy, placed in an oversized pot. It can be used indoors as well as out but it feels quite domineering in a smaller room. Luckily it does resize nicely with the scale down cheat.

12 Lanterns

Every garden needs a lantern for maintaining some light after dark. If you want your Sim to be able to relax in their courtyard in the evening then these lights are the solution.

The free standing lanterns and wall mounted ones have matching swatches, allowing you to create a cohesive look no matter where you put your lighting.

11 Vases

Decorative items haven’t been forgotten, even if the choice is small. These 12 vases add a nice unique touch to any outdoor area and aren’t as clunky and overpowering as some in-game vases.

There is also a teaset which is sadly only decorative but comes in copper, brass, silver and gold swatches, allowing you to add a used look to your tables.

10 Small Doors And Fences

As you may expect from an outdoor-themed pack, there are a large number of outdoor specific items. These include doors, windows, archways and more. The doors above are a small height door with an intricate design and plain swatch. They can be used inside and out and match perfectly with the fence.

The new fence swatches match the small front doors but sadly don’t come with a matching gate. They are also very low, serving more as a small decoration, maybe around a planting area, rather than as a fence to keep out the neighbors. They do function well as a small bannister though and look nice on external second floor pathways in particular.

9 Large Doors With Archways

These doors are similar in design but the archways are slightly different. One set has closed doors and the other open, adding a unique perspective to archways that we’ve not seen before.

As with other items, the vibrant swatches compliment the rest of the kit and offer a splash of color alongside a more neutral option. They are both wide and tall, and thus may not be practical for many builds, but they are beautiful in a high walled courtyard setting, or a large hilltop home.

8 Windows Great And Small

There are two sets of complimentary yet distinct windows to match the doors. The first set are tall and feature lattice patterns that match the small doors. They are tall but also vibrant, offering a unique look to any home exterior.

If you have a smaller build then there’s also an arched option. These windows have a similar design but are much smaller. Both windows have the same swatches so you can also mix and match them for a more unique look.

7 Wall Tiles

There are two types of wall coverings in this pack. The first is a tile at the bottom and then a plain color block textured design above it, and the second is a full length version of the color blocks. This combination is especially useful in rooms where you may only want tiles on one or two walls.

If you prefer full length tiles the blue and green tiles also have a floor to ceiling version. While the choice may seem limited the swatches do give more flexibility that you’d think at a glance.

6 Flooring

The tiles are designed to cover the main colors in the pack’s swatches: black, brown, blue, red and green, and each one has different options. You’ll notice that the patterns have different edging on allowing you to tile them in unique patterns and make more intricate flooring with wide borders around the edges.

As with the other items these compliment everything in the pack and pull everything together in a cohesive way. They are also plain enough that they don’t draw the eye too much.

5 Stairs

There are eight tiled patterns in this pack and each one of these can be seen on the edges of these beautiful stairs. While they are a little too much for indoors they are perfect for patios.

If you are using them on platforms there are also platform edging tiles that match each stair so you can make the pattern match all the way around your platform.

4 Columns And Rails

Once again the tile patterns can be seen on these beautiful columns. Each one features a plain top which extends to the wall height and a tiled base matching other items.

If you prefer a plainer column there are some grey, white and beige options. These also come with decorative rails and trim that go along your exterior walls, or even replace them.

3 Archways

There are two types of archway in this pack. The first is a small narrow option and the second is wider and taller. Both feature tiling patterns that compliment the furniture and wall coverings.

These archways also have different designs on each side so you can have vibrant tiles on one side and more subtle designs on the other. This adds to the versatility of them.

2 Fountain Tiles

These tiled patterns can be placed anywhere and used as a centre piece on their own or the fountains fit perfectly in the middle, meaning these patterns make a small path around the fountain edges.

In seating areas the large coffee tables can sit nicely on these, although they are a little too much for indoors, unless you have an incredibly ornate hallway or similar.

1 Fountains

Every courtyard needs a fountain and these options are beautiful. As always the colors compliment the rest of the pack and they also match the tiled items. They are simple but stunning with petals in the water.

The details on these make them a beautiful centre piece and if placed over the patterned tiles they form an even more intricate showpiece for your oasis courtyard.
