Everyone who plays The Sims has a different reason for playing. Some people like to control a single Sim through every stage of their life and watch them grow up and have a family, while other people like to play unique challenges that make the game more interesting to them. And then, there are people that like to get creative and build.

While many people that build in The Sims 4 make houses, there are also a lot of creative fans that build community lots like restaurants, parks, and other buildings that Sims can visit. These community lots are perfect for downloading to put into an empty lot in a game so that Sims can visit and have a good time there.

Due to new worlds and new building items coming in regularly, there’s a whole ocean of amazing community lot builds just waiting to be discovered out there. While it’s impossible to catalogue them all, here’s a few additional picks that will fit in wonderfully in some of the newer worlds introduced in 2020.

15 Maid Café

Mt. Komorebi is a beautiful location that many builders have taken advantage of in the past few months. With its distinct Japanese architecture, there’s a lot of Japanese-inspired builds out on the Gallery. One essential part of Japanese popular culture is the maid and comic book café where guests can enjoy drinks and read their favorite manga.

This build was made by Victoria, and it contains no custom content, so it’s perfect for players who want to stick as close to vanilla builds as possible. There’s a small laundromat included, as well as a convenience store, which captures the essence of Komorebi pretty well.

14 Futuresim Noodle

With Cyberpunk 2077 released at last, a lot of builders have also started creating cyberpunk-inspired creations to bring in some aspects of the dark future within the happy-go-lucky world of The Sims 4. With Journey to Batuu this has become much easier with a ton of industrial and futuristic build items.

This noodle restaurant with a cool Blade Runner twist was made by Frankiela1, and while it does have some minor custom content it’s quite low-end PC friendly due to having an emptier interior. It’s a fantastic one to add to San Myshuno.

13 The Waterfront

Eco Lifestyle introduced the concept of community centers, where local Sims could gather to perform various activities. Some of the base game community centers weren’t fantastic, which is why a few builds have been coming out since last summer to try and revamp the way these lots look in Evergreen Harbor.

The Waterfront was also made by Frankiela1, and blends in quite nicely with the general appearance of the world itself. The cool thing about it is that it still maintains the original shape of the lot that was previously here, but the building has been altered and dressed up in small ways to give it a dash of color.

12 The Green Express

If you’re looking for a nice restaurant for Evergreen Harbor, The Green Express created by CatSaar is a nice pick. It has that slightly industrial but also incredibly homey look that fits in with the general vibe of the Eco Lifestyle world, that walks somewhere along the lines old industrial and new eco-friendly.

The build is also CC free, and has a nice, simplistic interior with green, hipster vibes. The inhabitants of Evergreen Harbor will be right at home when going out for dinner at this place. For best results, make sure to have Dine Out installed.

11 Japanese Wakamatsu Shrine

Mt. Komorebi wouldn’t be complete without an idyllic and calm Japanese-style shrine perched among the trees and gorgeous statues. Sadly, this lot is 64x64, so it can’t technically be placed in the new Snowy Escape world. That being said, it looks gorgeous no matter which world it’s placed in.

The Wakamatsu Shrine made by Youri has even a set of steps that lead up to it past Shinto gates and greenery and it looks almost magical at night when the lanterns illuminate the space. With all the Japanese-style aesthetic in the game thanks to Snowy Escape, this is a perfect addition.

10 Summery Lake

The talented Simmer behind this community lot is IsegrimSims. This is one that is particularly fun for people that purchased the Seasons expansion pack because of the fact that it gives Sims something to do during the summertime. Regardless of whether or not that pack is installed, this park with its beautiful lake and serene camping spot are the best way for Sims to enjoy the great outdoors.

9 Admit One Cinema

Built by ShySimblr, this is a great place to have fun. Although there are a ton of things to do in The Sims 4, it can definitely get a little repetitive for people that have been playing a long time. That’s where challenges and unique community lots like this come in handy! This lot is a combination arcade and movie theater that Sims can visit on a date night or when they’re hanging out with friends and want to have a little fun.

8 Little Toyko

Simmer CatSaar built this unique community lot that was designed to look like the entire block of a Tokyo suburb. This lot is designed to be a restaurant as it’s what one of the included buildings is, but that could definitely be changed by the player that downloads it.

Along with the restaurant, this has a cafe, a bar, and even a mini apartment that a Sim can call home. This community lot build is super unique because of how much is available in one build!

7 A Restaurant For Glimmerbrook

The talented UglySim built this restaurant that is perfect for Glimmerbrook, the world added with the Realm of Magic pack. But, even people that don’t have that pack could download this witchy build and place it somewhere else in another neighborhood. This restaurant has a dark and spooky vibe that really matches the feeling of the other buildings in the pack with their old world mystery.

6 Flowers On The Roof Park

This lot, built by Simliegia, is perfect for Sims that want to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air. This park has everything that Sims of all ages could need to entertain themselves and is beautifully landscaped, fully taking advantage of the terrain tools that were added into the game.

5 Magnolia Bookstore

Made by NiiSimsPlay, this is perfect for a book lover that wants to do a little shopping and fill their shelves with the latest new releases.

This community lot is a fully decked out bookstore that is complete with a cash register, books lining the shelves, and even places to sit down for Sims to read their new purchases. This community lot is a lot more of a specific one than lots like parks or restaurants but is still a fun one to use in a game.

4 Wedding Venue

Here’s a beautiful venue created by IsegrimSims. For many people, playing through a Sim’s life and having them find love, get married, and start a family is the best part of the game. And for those people, picking somewhere special for their big day is always important. Although there are already a few venues in the game that work nicely, this fan-built wedding venue is also a gorgeous option.

3 StrangerVille Shipping Container Food Market

Talented Sims 4 player GravySims built this community lot, which is perfect for StrangerVille. Even for players that don’t have that unusual, sci-fi themed pack, this unique restaurant could fit into a variety of different places. It has a bar, places for Sims to sit and talk, and plenty of places to enjoy some tasty food.

2 The Open Sand Bar

It was ShySimblr who built this island-themed bar. This bar is the perfect one to add into one of the tropical themed packs that have been released, Jungle Adventure and Island Living. For Sims that want to enjoy some time on the beach or want to unwind with a tasty drink while they’re on a tropical vacation, going to this bright, beachy bar is the perfect place to go.

1 Mojito Mosquito

This bar venue was crafted by CatSaar. It is absolutely perfect for the Oasis Springs neighborhood, which is set right in the heart of the desert of the Sims 4 world. This bar has the same aesthetic as other houses and buildings in the neighborhood and has a really fun, cactus-inspired decor theme.
