Turns out The Sims is the best game to play for those looking to de-stress, and Call of Duty is the series that gets people the most riled up.

Not only are more people turning to video games for entertainment now than ever before, but many might be doing so to relieve the stress of everyday life — one that currently revolves around having to stay at home during a global pandemic. The trouble is, not all games help to relieve stress. In fact, some seem to actively encourage it.

Comfy Sacks recently conducted a study of more than 1000 gamers to find out which titles are the best stress relievers, and which tend to do the exact opposite. The Sims tops the list of games that are the best at relieving stress. It makes sense since it revolves around casually living out a virtual person’s life. Minecraft and Tetris were also high on the list.

As for stress-inducing games, Call of Duty ranked number one. This also makes sense as nothing in gaming is more infuriating than being repeatedly killed by a 12-year-old. Chances are that’s why Fortnite made the top ten stress-inducing games, too. If being cooped up for weeks has left you climbing the walls, maybe fire up The Sims rather than Warzone this evening.
