Over the course of The Undertaker’s 30-year career, which has now come to an end, The Deadman appeared in a staggering 56 different video games.

WWE has been airing a five-part documentary over the course of the last couple of months. The doc details The Undertaker’s 30-year career in the business, with a focus on the last few years as it has started to wind down. The fifth and final part aired on the WWE Network over the weekend, during which the veteran confirmed his in-ring career has come to an end.

Many fans had convinced themselves that The Undertaker would never retire, hence social media going into meltdown once people had a chance to watch the doc on Sunday. The Phenom has accomplished so much during his 30-year career, achievements that extend beyond the squared circle. That includes a boatload of accolades to point to in the section on the Venn diagram where wrestling and video games intersect.

Over the course of three decades, The Undertaker has featured in no fewer than 56 video games. That’s from his first appearance in WWF Super WrestleMania in 1992, all the way up to his inclusion in last year’s WWE 2K20, and this year’s beat ’em up RPG The King of Fighters All Star. We wonder if Taker even knows about that one.

Of those 56 games, The Undertaker has featured on the cover of 15 of them. In fact, the first time Taker made it onto the cover of a video game was on the second time of asking in ‘92 when he was featured on the art for WWF WrestleMania: Steel Cage Challenge. He would also feature on the cover of WWF Superstars 2 later that same year, and WWF Royal Rumble in 1993.

Just because The Undertaker’s in-ring career has come to an end doesn’t mean wrestling gamers won’t still be able to use him on future video games. The Deadman will likely be on pretty much every wrestling game for years to come, starting with WWE 2K Battlegrounds later this year, and WWE 2K22 next year. We’d hazard to guess he might even be the cover star of the latter.
