Corvo Bianco is the vineyard that Geralt is gifted during the Blood and Wine DLC, and it is the only player home that is given to the player throughout the entire game and both of its DLCs. Beauclair is the main city that players get to experience while traveling in Toussaint, and there are many hidden things that players may have missed about both its history and things that can be done inside of its walls.

The Blood and Wine DLC for The Witcher 3 is jam-packed with content with Corvo Bianco and Beauclair having many little things that are easy to miss while exploring these locations.

10 The “Playing House” Achievement Is Awarded To The Player Once They Fully Upgrade Corvo Bianco

Corvo Bianco has a ton of different upgrades that the player can buy to create their dream home, and once the player has bought all possible upgrades, then they will unlock this special achievement.

There are a lot of achievements to unlock in TheWitcher 3 and “Playing House” is one of the best ones because it requires a player have a lot of gold and as such people that see that the player in question has earned this achievement will know how dedicated they are to The Witcher franchise.

9 Roach’s Stamina Increases By 100% After Using The Corvo Bianco Stables

A lot of players may not be aware of what some of the upgrades for Corvo Bianco actually do; however, one of the best functions of any upgrade to the estate is the stables.

Roach will have a 100% increase in stamina for an hour after using the Corvo Bianco stables, which means that this is a worthwhile investment, even if the player doesn’t plan to invest fully into the vineyard.

8 Players Can Hang Paintings Inside Of Corvo Bianco

Players are able to hang paintings inside of the house of Corvo Bianco, which is a neat feature for players that have collected many different paintings throughout the game. Specifically, there are a few different paintings to collect in Toussaint, including one obtained during a quest where the player will get to customize a portrait of Geralt.

This is a neat tidbit to know about Corvo Bianco and an extra way to customize the vineyard in a way that will be unique to each player.

7 In Italian Corvo Bianco Translates To “White Crow”

Corvo Bianco translates to the words “White Crow” in Italian, which is interesting to note for players that may not be well-versed in the language.

Since Toussaint takes after Italy to an extent, it makes sense that Corvo Bianco would have a name that means something special in Italian. This is a fact about Corvo Bianco that a lot of players missed since the name isn’t elaborated on inside of the game.

6 Dandelion, Triss, Ciri, And Yennefer Can Each Show Up At Corvo Bianco Depending On Decisions Made In The Base Game

Depending on events that occurred during the main game, different characters will be able to show up at the end of the Blood and Wine questline to stay at Geralt’s vineyard indefinitely. This was a nice tidbit for the developers to add in since it allows for an extra sense of customization to the estate.

The possible characters that can show up at Corvo Bianco are Dandelion, Ciri, Triss, and Yennefer. It is common to believe that a fixed character shows up at Corvo Bianco if the player has only played the DLC once, however, that is not the case.

5 The Library In Corvo Bianco Grants A 5% XP Boost

The library in Corvo Bianco is another very interesting upgrade that a lot of players completely overlooked while upgrading the vineyard. The library will grant Geralt a 5% XP boost for an hour after visiting it.

The 5% XP boost may not sound very important to some players, however for players that want to create a perfect build, getting to the max player level is a very important task.

4 The Citizens Of Beauclair Are Refered To As Beauclairois

The citizens of Beauclair have their own name, which is Beauclairois. This fact is extremely easy to miss because it isn’t stated very many times in Toussaint, and it rarely comes up in dialogue at all.

It is interesting that the people of Beauclair have their own name since a lot of other cities in The Witcher world don’t have a name to describe them; this is possibly due to the fact that Beauclair is supposed to be much more prestigious than other cities.

3 Beauclair Is The Official Capital Of Toussaint

Beauclair is considered to be the official capital of Toussaint. Although some players may have assumed that this was the case, there are other cities in the land that could be considered the capital as well.

Beauclair is considered the capital because the Duchess lives there, and it seems to have the largest population in all of Toussaint. There are also many major events that happen in Beauclair and the surrounding areas throughout the year.

2 The Hunt For Grandmaster Armor

The hunt for Grandmaster Witcher armor is a few scavenger hunts that can be started by talking to Lafargue inside of his armor shop in Beauclair.

There are a few different types of Grandmaster armor that the player is able to track down; these include the School of the Bear, the School of the Manticore, the School of the Wolf, the School of the Cat, and the School of the Griffin. It is easy to miss these quests since the player has to interact with an NPC inside of a shop to start them.

1 Beauclair Palace Was Originally Built By Elves

The Beauclair Palace was built by elves before humans inhabited Toussaint. Although humans did improve on the original design of the Beauclair Palace, it is still based around the structure that the elves built.

This fact makes a lot of sense since the elves in The Witcher universe are known for creating beautiful buildings and having fantastic architecture skills.
