Geralt’s search for Ciri throughout the main story of The Witcher 3 will take you into many different lands, including the free city of Novigrad. This large metropolis is basically run by a criminal underground, and Geralt will need to get tangled up with those criminals to learn what happened to Ciri while she was there.

This includes a main quest called ‘Get Junior’, which takes him through the underbelly of the city and into the home of a truly deranged man, concluding with a moral choice being placed on the player. Here’s everything you need to know to complete this quest.

Activate the Quest And The Bathhouse

As a main quest, there is no special criteria to activate ‘Get Junior.’ It should happen naturally as you make your way through the game, following immediately after the quest ‘Broken Flowers.’ After finding out that Dandelion was fleeing Whoreson Junior in Novigrad, Geralt looks into finding the criminal, and starts by heading to the bathhouse in Novigrad to speak with Sigi Reuven.

Once you arrive there, Happen will let you in and allow you to change into just a towel. You’ll then meet with three members of the “Big Four” crime bosses: Francis Bedlam, Cleaver, and Dijkstra himself.

It seems these three aren’t pleased with the fourth member of the quartet, Whoreson Junior. How convenient for you. However, during the conversation, Junior’s henchmen will storm the bathhouse and attack, and you’ll need to engage them in combat.

After the conversation, Dijsktra will speak with you privately. He’ll tell you there are three locations worth looking into: the arena, the casino, and Junior’s own house. From here, you can leave, or you can ask about Dandelion to begin the main quest ‘Count Reuven’s Treasure,’ which you don’t need to complete right now.

Once you have the info on Whoreson Junior, you can leave, earning 150 experience points.

Three Locations

You’ll now have three locations to investigate, but it doesn’t matter which you do first.

At Whoreson Junior’s house, you’ll find it’s the shortest part of the quest. Head there to find that Cleaver’s men have already taken care of the place. If you investigate, you’ll find that there isn’t much to see, with Geralt stating that the place has been scrubbed clean.

At the arena, you’ll run into Zdenek. After being killed by some thugs, you can find a note on his body. At the entrance to the arena, you’ll have a few methods to get past the guards. You can threaten them, starting a fight; you can pay them 100 Crowns; you can pretend to be Zdenek by showing them the note you found on his body; or you can use Axii if you have Delusion level 2, which will also earn you 35 experience points.

If you opted to fight them, every other person inside the arena will be hostile to you, so be prepared for that.

Using any other method means you’ll need to talk to Igor the Hook inside. Choose all the right options in the conversation with him, and you’ll need to prove yourself in the arena. First, you’ll have to fight Gustav Roene. After you defeat him, he’ll beg for mercy.

Spare him, and he’ll help you fight the rest of the opponents, which include some men called the “Hairy Brothers,” a Wyvern, some Endrega, and Boris the bear. If you anger Igor the Hook during the conversation, you’ll need to fight him and everyone else instead.

If you’ve completed the quest ‘Gangs of Novigrad’ before reaching this point, you’ll be able to recruit Cleaver’s men before entering the arena.

Regardless of how you handled this section of the quest, you’ll need to a key off of Igor’s body. Loot the coffer next to his throne for a note that tells you where to find a stash. It’ll be near the entrance to the arena, near some drag marks on the floor. Use the torch nearby to open a hidden door, which contains a chest with a note that says Whoreson is working with Radovid.

The Casino

At the Casino, you’ll once again have to make a decision regarding a guard at the entrance. You can, as always, threaten them, and initiate some combat. You can pay 200 Crowns, earning yourself 25 experience points. You can use Axii, which again, requires Delusion level 2, and earns you 35 experience points. Finally, you can agree to make a deal, which will prevent you from being able to bribe them later.

Your goal inside is to find a halfling named Rico. There are a few ways to get here. If you threaten the bouncers at the entrance or mention Whoreson Junior’s name at any point once inside, you’ll have to fight basically everyone.

As with the arena, if you’ve started the right part of Gangs of Novigrad’ at this point, you can recruit Cleaver’s men to help you raid the casino.

If you’re looking to take a more peaceful approach, choose one of the non-violent options to get past the guards. Then, inside, you’ll need to make sure you don’t mention Whorseon Junior at any point. Then, play Gwent against two of the three players you can find inside. Once you win two games, the dealer will invite you upstairs for a high-stakes game.

If you refuse his request twice, the guards will attack you. Accept his offer and head upstairs, where you’ll need to fight the dealer and some guards. After this, the rest of the guards in the casino will fight you.

No matter how you got through the casino, you’ll find Rico tied to a chair in an interrogation room. You’ll learn by speaking to him that he’s a spy working for Bedlam but got caught by Junior’s thugs. He’ll tell you that Junior is working with the Redanians. If you free him, you’ll get seven experience points.

Roche And The Redanians

After finding out about the tie between Junior and Radovid, you’ll need to talk to Dijkstra. He’ll tell you to speak with Vernon Roche, who has ties to the Redanians through a contact. You can fast travel to the location where the contact is or ride along with Roche.

Once you arrive, you’ll find Radovid is there instead of a contact. He tells you how to find Junior, who apparently isn’t any use to him anymore. Before arriving in Oxenfurt, the ‘Gangs of Novigrad’ quest will fail if you haven’t already completed it.

From here, head to Junior’s hiding place.

Make Your Choice

Once you arrive at Junior’s hideout, you’ll be confronted by the guards, who will recognize you and attack. After you’ve dealt with them, you’ll be able to find a key on their bodies. Head inside and toward the large house, picking off anyone who gets in your way.

Inside, you’ll find something truly awful. It seems Junior gets off on torturing, harming, and ultimately killing women. Enter his room and begin speaking with him, which will temporarily halt the quest. You’ll take control of Ciri and begin the quest ‘Ciri’s Story: Visiting Junior.’ Complete this and you’ll regain control of Geralt.

At this point, you’ll have a choice to make. Spare Junior, or kill him for his terrible crimes and abuse.

Whatever you decide, you will receive 500 experience points. You’ll then be confronted by Redanian soldiers when you leave. They’ll tell you that Radovid expects you to pay him back for his help, starting the quest ‘A Favor for Radovid.’ It’ll teleport you to where he is. No matter how you decide to proceed after speaking to Radovid, this quest will complete and ‘Redania’s Most Wanted’ will begin.

Afterward, find and speak with Priscilla to complete ‘Get Junior.’
