Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues its maddening ascent to becoming the best game ever made with a brand new late-night talk show.

You can do a lot in New Horizons. You can shape your island to become a perfect replica of various video game locales, or you can set up your own small business. Or, with the help of some slick editing, some celebrity guests, and the right DIY recipes, you can make your own late-night talk show in your basement.

That’s what Gary Whitta did. He’s the British-born screenwriter for Rogue One, The Book of Eli, and co-writer for the first and final seasons of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. He’s also a contributor to PC Gamer (where he was the former editor-in-chief), various podcasts, and now a late-night talk show host.

The show is called Animal Talking, and just like a real late-night talk show, Whitta has an intro monologue and an interview with online celebs. With the help of co-host and editor Adam Nickerson, as well as the help of friends and family all playing New Horizons, Whitta set up an incredible late-night show studio in his home’s basement using donated items and skyline wallpaper.

He’s got a desk, ferns, tons of cameras and lighting, a drum set for Adam to bang whenever Whitta makes a joke, a monologue station with a standing mic, and even a theme song and audience soundtrack.

His first guest was Naomi Kyle, an actress and YouTube personality. Here’s a highlight clip of the show.

Whitta recently asked Danny Trejo to be a guest on the show, so we’ll see if that happens. You can catch live broadcasts on Whitta’s Twitch channel or you can see the show later on his YouTube channel.
