Sonic is still headed to the Tokyo Olympics this summer, and the seven bosses he will be faced with when he gets there were recently revealed.
Sporting events around the world are currently on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and the biggest casualty so far has been the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The Games were slated to take place this summer, but have instead been postponed until (at least) the summer of 2021. As for Sonic, the blue blur will virtually be heading to the Games next month, as planned.
Sonic at the Olympic Games launches on mobile on May 7, 2020. The blue hedgehog and the rest of the franchise’s cast will compete in a multitude of Olympic events, and now fans know which villains they will be going up against. Sega revealed the seven baddies who will be making the virtual trip to Tokyo via its latest trailer for the game. Check it out below.
The sinister seven includes Eggman, Jet, Metal Sonic, Zavok, Espio, Rouge, and Eggman Nega. As demonstrated in the trailer, and will already be known by long-time Sonic fans, each of those villains brings a particular set of skills to the game that will allow them to fair better at certain events than others. Players will be able to pit themselves against Sega’s selected set of villains starting May 7, 2020, on iOS and Android.
