Animal Crossings: New Horizons camera woes became intolerable last month when the social simulation patched up a rather nifty glitch that was enabling players to obscure HUD appearances from their exotic camera shots. The built-in-camera in New Horizons has never been praised for its dynamic imagery. The feature, of course, allows players to capture and record flat scenes from their bustling islands, but it’s not multifaceted enough to give players the power to capture versatile snapshots. Thankfully enough, Alree has released a new mod to compensate for Animal Crossings: New Horizons’ camera’s shortcoming, and it comes along several powerful tools that redefine photography and shooting for the game.
Alree’s camera mod introduces several novel and robust media options to Animal Crossings: New Horizons. With the mod, Players can turn off the game’s planet bending effect and can capture a 360° interior view while they are inside important buildings like the airport, museum, town office, etc. There is also a greater degree of autonomy with camera distance selection, i.e. players can select how far trees and island peripheries appear in the pictures.
Modifications, however, can only be used in tandem with hacked Nintendo Switch consoles. Running mods is; therefore, quite risky, particularly in an online game like Animal Crossings: New Horizons. Alree’s enhancement is a LayeredFS mod which can be loaded into the atmosphere. The mod; however, is not compatible with multiplayer and it hasn’t been tested on SXOS. The steps for launching the mod are listed by Alree on their GamerBanana page.
Animal Crossings: New Horizons players have been using the camera mod to screencap gorgeous landscapes. The improvement is manifesting the full aesthetic potential of New Horizons, and it’s enabling players to share their terraformed topography and wondrous island buildings on social media. Below you can take a look at the glistening zoomed-out residences, pleasing terrains, and marvellous natural features that the Animal Crossings: New Horizons community has captured with the mod.

rosewaterisle too has a splendid island of her own.
gooddayisland’s fantastical stargazing area is straight out of a fairytale.
Where Nintendo is unlikely to directly address fan complaints, hackers are granting all of the players’ wishes. Harmless tweaks such as the camera mod can really benefit Nintendo if it decides to implement them. But it is too unrealistic to expect this from the gaming giant, given its notoriously rigid reputation.
