Voldemort. Krillin. Snakes, I guess. A lot of notable creatures don’t have noses. But Shantae, the vaguely problematic character who’s just too stinking cute to write thinkpieces about, has never been one of them. That is, until now.
FanGamer has announced an adorable new plush to coincide with Shantae and the Seven Sirens, the plucky little gal’s latest adventure. Priced at $23.99, the plush will sit at 8 inches tall, and will also come complete with poseable hair. That means she can, in fact, whip her hair back and forth.
What’s that? 2010 called and it wants its joke back? Sorry, sorry.
But seriously, take a look at that precious face. She’s got real Charlie Brown proportions going on, with her teeny tiny body and big ol’ rounded face. But at least Charlie Brown has a nose! It may not be much of anything - just a small U shape - but it’s something. How does this Shantae plush breathe? Can it smell things? Granted, if gamers are buying this, it’s probably best that it can’t. We don’t need that kind of judgment in our lives.
Nose notwithstanding, the plush is incredibly cute, and at that price is more than worth it for franchise fans. Preorders get cut off, much like Shantae’s nose, on June 14.
Oh, also, you can preorder the new game from Limited Run. Is that what this article should’ve been about? Yeah, probably. I’ll be buying both, regardless.
