There is quite a bit going on in Apex Legends this week, with some great changes that players will love. On April 7, Respawn released patch notes regarding The Old Ways limited-time event. This includes adding a map rotation and permanent Duos mode to the game, something that has long been requested by players.
Apart from new features, Revenant is getting a large buff overall. Silence has had its charges, duration, and effect doubled. This means that two charges are the default, it lasts for ten seconds, and if activated affects players for twenty seconds. This should be a massive help, and players should expect Revenant to be far more powerful now at all stages of the game. Click here for the patch notes for even more changes to the character.
Finally, general manager Dusty Welch and director Chad Grenier spoke about a popular topic, that of implementing cross play between consoles. Both admit that it is an important goal to achieve cross play among consoles, and that it is something being looked at, but that it takes time to get right. This is great news to hear, because one of the biggest advantages to cross play is maximizing the number of players for matchmaking, leading to shorter queues and more skill-based partnering.
