The first week of June 2020 kicks off a busy month of gaming within the indie gaming scene.

Here are TheGamer’s picks for the indie games that you should check out this week (May 31 - June 6).

Liberated (June 2 - Switch)

From developer Atomic Wolf, Liberated is an interactive graphic novel set within a dystopian society, with each chapter of the game acting as its own comic book issue. The game’s theme of authoritarianism within a democratic society also hits incredibly close to home right now. Though the Switch will be the first platform for the game, Liberated will also be releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.

Kharon’s Crypt - Even Death May Die (June 5 - PC)

Kharon’s Crypt - Even Death May Die - from developer Hebi Lee - is a Zelda-inspired non-linear dungeon crawler that features retro pixel art design to go along with its puzzles and challenges.

Craftopia (June 3 Early Access - PC)

While, generally speaking, Early Access titles aren’t usually featured in this list, Craftopia - not to be confused with the mobile Minecraft clone of the same name - looks to be a very ambitious title in which players can do “anything they’ve ever dreamed of” in a vast open-world filled with thousands of items to craft. Developer/publisher POCKET PAIR, Inc. stated that the game will be in Steam’s Early Access program for a minimum of at least one year.

Tour de France 2020 (June 4 - PS4, XB1)

Although the real-life Tour de France may be in jeopardy this year, cycling enthusiasts can get their fix with Cyanide Studio’s racing sim. Coupled with Pro Cycling Manager 2020, fans of the annual race will be able to play out the Tour de France, even if the real race doesn’t happen.

My Hidden Things (June 4 - PC)

My Hidden Things - from developer and publisher Six Dots - puts players in a comic-style world and tasks them with moving objects around to form a solution. Ambient audio design accompanies the charming visuals and should be a solid addition to puzzle genre fans’ libraries.

Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection (June 5 - PC)

Developer Petroglyph brings the Command & Conquer franchise back for an entirely new generation of gamers (and those who just love the series) in Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection, which includes 4K versions of Command & Conquer and Red Alert.
