This week in Monster Hunter: World, we get some sad news from Capcom about delays to the game’s fourth title update.
No game is immune to the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic, and with the coronavirus locking down Japan, Monster Hunter: World is facing delays on its planned content rollouts. This means that the title 4 update which would introduce Alatreon has been delayed indefinitely.
We don’t know when Alatreon will rear its ugly head, but we do know that Capcom is trying to make up for this with some layered armor and a new limited-time event quest arriving on May 1. Arch-Tempered Namielle will be the new limited-time event quest, and along with that will come some new layered armor rewards including the Artian, Black Belt, Guardian, Acrobat Earrings, and Showman Earrings.
Capcom has also promised more event quests featuring High Tier Decorations and High-Grade Armor Spheres, although they declined to give us any details as to what exactly that’ll entail. But hey, we can always use more Armor Spheres, right?
The Full Bloom Fest is still going on too and will run until May 7. You get some unique rewards for participating in the event, and it brings back all previous crossover events, so if you want to get some layered armor that’ll make you look like the Witcher of your Palico like Mega Man, now’s the time to get those quests finished up.
