Echo once again returns to play following hilariously bad timing and a weird decision for the development team to allow Echo to be banned only one week after her Overwatch debut. An incredibly fun hero, Echo is engaging to play and sparked some interest in the game once more which made the ban all the more confusing. With Echo back in rotation, she will also make her Overwatch League debut this weekend. Seeing her being played at the highest level should be rewarding for fans of the game.
In more news regarding the Overwatch League, the Vancouver Titans will be returning to the North American region after a short relocation back to South Korea. It’s unclear why the team is coming back to the region, but the Titans have been plagued with rumors of internal conflict recently as they look to rebound after two terrible showings in Asia. San Francisco Shock main-tank and 2019 MVP finalist, Super, had some choice words for the Vancouver Titans after their announcement of them returning to North America.
The Overwatch League will test out a tournament format starting this weekend and concluding towards the end of May as teams will battle for tournament seeding over the next three weekends of play. This is a possible new direction for the league as they continue to experiment with different formats after a scuffed season.
