There is a ton happening this week — and in the near future — for PUBG Mobile, but the main game on console and PC has nothing new to report. However, players are still getting their first taste of what it is like to play with bots in their matches.
Beginning with esports, Covid-19 concerns have caused a shift in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Pro League Americas (PMPL) from a live event to entirely online. Tencent made the announcement on May 5, and the news is not a surprise given the developments around the world in regards to social distancing.
Update 1.18.0 is upon us as well, which should be arriving this week on May 7 following a successful beta period. The update is quite large in scope and is sure to be a hit with players around the world. First, players will finally get to experience the map update to Miramar, including a racecourse and new features and buildings. The Golden Mirado is also the most stylish way to get around the map, and players will need to look closely to find the single spawn created in each game.
Following this update, we speculate that Season 13 will be launching on May 13 following weeks of leaks, featuring new skins and cosmetics in a new Battle Pass.
