It’s been quite the week for Simmers. We’ve seen the results of the final vote for The Sims 4 community stuff pack and now know the name and icon that will be used.  There have also been rumors about upcoming content, a community survey, and one Game Changer lived up to the name by celebrating their graduation and raising a huge amount of money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Over the last six months, the second community voted Stuff Pack has been taking shape. The final vote has been tallied and we can now use its official name, Nifty Knitting. Sim Guru Conor, who has been taking the lead on the voting and giving us glimpses of the development, announced the news. His tweet suggests he’s relieved that the “luv 2 knit” option was ignored by text speak haters, in favor of this quirky but correctly spelled alternative.

Back in April, a 6-month roadmap for the game was released and we were promised that an expansion, stuff pack, and game pack were incoming. We already know the stuff pack will be the community voted content — now officially called Nifty Knitting — but other themes and details are still unannounced. However, rumors are now swirling that the expansion is going to be farming based after a Target leak showed a listing for Sims 4 Ep 09 Country Livin’. With the news that EA Play is going digital this year, taking place on June 11th, Simmers are hoping that an official announcement is not far away.

Every month or so SimGuruFrost posts a community survey and April’s was much more in-depth than usual. It contained questions about potential features and themes that could be brought to the game and asked Simmers what they wanted to see. Themes include Shopping Malls, Cheerleading, US High School, Heists, Bands, and more. The features included story progression and also questions about which life stage we’d like to see prioritized. However, for some reason teenagers were excluded, a fact that didn’t go unnoticed by TheEnglishSimmer who made a video about the survey, followed by another specifically addressing the teenage life stage in the game.

Finally, Kayla, aka Lilsimsie celebrated her graduation in style with a Charity Livestream that raised a whopping $57,677 for St. Jude’s Hospital. You can watch the moment they hit $50,000 here. Congrats to Kayla and her community for this huge achievement!
