This week is seeing the release of some indie thrillers, a port, and some exciting triple A titles.
The Shattering coming out April 21st is a psychological thriller by new game development company Super Sexy Software. It appears to have some gorgeous aesthetics as you dig into the mind of the likely insane main character trying to figure out what happened to him.
Deliver Us The Moon is another thriller, this one is set in space as you’re on a mission to prevent humanity’s extinction. It’s done very well on the PC and will see a console release on April 24th. Check out our PC review of the game.
An interesting title coming out April 24th is the asymmetrical multiplayer Predator: Hunting Grounds. Four players are human marines struggling to survive or kill the fifth player acting as the alien Predator. This game made some waves when it was announced there would be a never before seen female Predator.
Then finally there’s a new addition to the XCOM series coming in April 24th called XCOM: Chimera Squad. It takes place five years after the alien invasion in XCOM 2 and has the player heading the Chimera Squad to keep City 31, a utopia for humans and aliens alike, safe from terrorists.
It’ll certainly be an interesting week for fans of thrillers, asymmetrical multiplayer, and squad-based strategy games. Lots of great new titles to look forward to.
