This week The Sims 4 team is moving their focus to pride month. They unveiled an official virtual pride parade as well as fully showcasing the new collaboration with M·A·C Cosmetics.

The pride event is now underway and Simmers are invited to submit their best pride looks via social media for a chance to feature in the Virtual Pride Parade. Anyone wishing to join in has until June 29th to submit, using the hashtag #SimsPride2020. The parade will take place on June 30th and is being hosted by LGBTQ+ content creator, The EnglishSimmer.

Simmers who have updated their game recently will have already seen the M·A·C branded makeup, which came with the recent free update. The looks are vibrant and bold, perfect for pride month.

The looks were designed by Romero Jennings, M·A·C Directory of Makeup Artistry who stated “As a black makeup artist, it’s especially important that the looks work for Simmers of all skin tones,” He went on to express his enjoyment of the experience saying “It’s been so much fun to digitally recreate all of my IRL makeup inspirations from endless photo shoots, masterclasses, pop culture, and hundreds of Fashion Weeks. With so many of us around the world staying home, our collaboration will inspire Simmers to become makeup artists expressing themselves in a way the game has never offered before. I can’t wait to see Simmers’ creations both in-game and IRL as well.”

The collaboration is perfectly timed as Simmers are seeking to celebrate diversity now more than ever. While some of the looks are too vibrant for some, there’s no denying that they are both bold and eye-catching. Makeup is a feature of the game that has been lacking for a while and Simmers are hoping that this collaboration is the start of many that will allow more options for players.

Finally, SimGuruConor has launched his final blog about the upcoming Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack. It showcases more of the rocking chairs as well as unveiling the news that knitting is available to children and upwards.  There’s even a cute preview of some knitted onesies for babies. It’s been a busy week!
