In what was arguably the biggest Summer Game Fest announcement yet, Activision confirmed that it is remastering the first two Tony Hawk games as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, set to launch on September 4. Fans are excited for the long-running skateboarding franchise to return to its roots, but now that the dust from the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 announcement has settled, it’s brought attention to a big Activision game leak.

Back in March, frequent Call of Duty leaker TheGamingRevolution claimed to leak a slew of new projects on the way from Activision. These supposed projects included a remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater as well as Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, both of which have since been announced (and in the case of Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, launched). Since two of the games supposedly leaked by TheGamingRevolution have turned out to be accurate, it lends much more credibility to his claims, and it means that there is a greater chance that the other leaked games are legitimate.

Besides leaking Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, TheGamingRevolution also leaked information about Call of Duty 2020, a new free-to-play Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games, and perhaps more interestingly, two Crash Bandicoot games. One of the Crash Bandicoot games leaked by TheGamingRevolution will have PvP elements, and the other is supposedly a Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex remaster.

It’s entirely possible that these were just lucky guesses, but TheGamingRevolution has accurately leaked Activision news in the past, so his claims are a bit easier to believe than others. Even so, fans should take this information with a grain of salt.

While it’s hard to say if all the leaked Activision games are real, there are some that do seem like a given, and that’s the two Call of Duty game leaks. Activision has released a new Call of Duty game every year without fail since 2005, and so it would make no sense for it to stop now, especially since the games are consistently the top-selling games in any given year. As for the free-to-play Call of Duty game, Sledgehammer Games is hiring a ton of developers to work on multiple projects at the studio, so it stands to reason that one such project could very well be a free-to-play CoD for next year as leaked.

It’s hard to determine with certainty if the other leaked Activision games are real, but hopefully fans learn more sooner rather than later.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will launch on September 4 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
