Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has marked a triumphant return for the skating series that allows players to create incredible combos. The remake was one of the most anticipated games of the year and many feel it has lived up to expectation. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has been critically acclaimed but newcomers and old school gamers are finding some challenges tricky. One challenge that is particularly deceiving is the Secret Tape location on the Venice Beach level.
Secret Tapes, as the name suggests, are difficult to find on the first few runs of a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater map and players initially need to explore to find them. Venice Beach, however, has a quite simple tape to find, but it is tricky to get to. Players will want to upgrade their air stats or pick a skater with good jumping attributes before attempting this challenge. However, if players have good statistics for ollies, hangtime, and air, they should be able to get the tape comfortably, albeit unconventionally.
Players need to head straight at the start of the Venice Beach map and they will go down the stairs into an area that has rails as well as two flag poles. Fans who have previously played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater before may remember that the tape is actually on top of the banner that joins these poles. However, getting up to this point can confuse as many players attempt to jump off the neighboring building. Instead, players need to follow this is around to the left where they will see a ramp.
Once players jump and land on the ramp, they need to follow the rail to the angled sitting area and jump off towards the banner. Players should then fly by the Secret Tape and complete the challenge. If there is difficulty in doing this, filling the special bar will boost the jump. While the physics of the jump doesn’t make much sense that has never been important in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. With the strategy required for this challenge it can be difficult and it is a case of the easiest option proving to be the most effective.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2 was one of the most anticipated games of this fall and many fans are happy with the challenges and content that they are receiving. This looks set to continue even if some of the challenges require unconventional methods like this one.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remake is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
