Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid - 4.0 / 5

To recap
Sure, its divisive looks and somewhat dated-looking tech are downsides, but in its plug-in format this SUV crossover has best-in-class electric-only range, a drive style that’s refined well beyond its Rav4 cousins, and heaps of appeal. It’s a bit pricey, so you’ll no doubt have a sniff around Volvo’s Recharge range too, but for the right customer base the Toyota will win out.
