Ubisoft provides what is certainly the trippiest moment of E3 2016 so far, revealing Trials of the Blood Dragon is real and that the game will be available today.
Ubisoft’s E3 2016 presentation didn’t pull any punches. What began with a bizarre dance number set to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” that featured a lion in sunglasses and a panda with a rainbow mohawk continued to ramp up the weirdness later on, unveiling the kind of video game mashup that only the minds currently employed at Ubisoft could possibly conceive of.
The Trials games have always been a little over-the-top, while Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was one of the most enjoyable tongue-in-cheek, quirky spin-offs of a serious game in recent memory. When rumors of a possible collaboration between Trials and Blood Dragon first circulated, however, gamers were understandably skeptical - what kind of video game world could possibly contain both the extreme stunt gameplay of Trials and the neon, retro sci-fi stylings of a game as unique as Blood Dragon?
