What’s more, is that you don’t have to embark on this adventure alone as Tunche embraces one of Nintendo’s best aspects - local co-op. Naturally, that means that you can hook it up to the TV, plug in two controllers, and have that classic couch multiplayer experience.

Tunche will also sport the protagonist from 3D platformer A Hat in Time, the aptly named Hat Kid. Otherwise, you have a choice of five heroes to play as who all sport their own skills and abilities.

The aforementioned magic will take hold in the form of shamanic witchcraft. It’s tough to put Shamanism into words, as there’re no texts or doctrines. The easiest way to describe it is as one of humanity’s oldest ritual systems, one that crosses from Asia to South America. You’ve likely heard of it in one shape or form due to the popularisation of the term ‘Shaman.’

Hopefully, Tunche will serve to shed a light on these less-talked-about cultures, especially given its setting and narrative. After all, it was described in the Indie World presentation as a ‘magical tour of Peruvian legends and folklore.’
