Twitch Prime is currently offering up to twelve months of free Nintendo Switch Online membership.

In the past, these offers have included in-game rewards for a range of big-name titles. The program has also given out over 70 free PC games over the last year. This month, it is offering up to twelve months free Nintendo Switch Online membership.

You don’t have to be an existing subscriber to Nintendo’s new online subscription service to claim the reward, but if you are, the free months will be added to your account.

The reward is claimed in two parts. To claim the first three months free, head over to the Nintendo Prime loot page and follow the directions to link your Nintendo account with your Twitch Prime one. Make sure to use the Nintendo account that is linked to the Switch profile you want membership on, as the offer is for one individual membership.

After sixty days, you can go back to the page and claim another nine months, which will be added onto your existing total.

You will have to purchase the membership, but there won’t be a charge if it’s done through the webpage. However, Nintendo does sign you up for auto-renewal, so be aware. This can be canceled at any time during your trial period.

Twitch Prime members have until September 24 to claim the first three months, and until January 22, 2020 to claim the extra nine.

Once the membership has been activated, the webpage will offer a link to a Nintendo Classics app. Hitting this link will send a download request directly to your Switch. Once the app has downloaded, you will have access to a range of classic Nintendo games, including Donkey Kong, Double Dragon, The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., and Metroid.
