A Twitter user has both fascinated and grossed out the entire internet by opening a can of Spider-Man Chef Boyardee Pasta from 1995. The user, who goes by the name of Dinosaur Dracula, runs a website focused on the 1980s and 1990s toys and memorabilia. While he never made it clear how he got his hands on the can of soup, it is very clear that 25-year-old canned soup should not be eaten.
Eating this soup will not give anyone superpowers or Spider-Man’s combat skills, and it may best be avoided entirely.
In his initial tweet, Dinosaur Dracula posted a video of the corroded soup can, saying that if his post got 1995 retweets, the year the soup is from, he would open it. The tweet quickly amassed over ten thousand likes, and the world was exposed to the horrors held within the can.
It turns out that over 25 years, the soup inside of the can will rot into one large chunk of mush that’s as terrifying as any horror game. You can still make out the outline of what used to be Spider-Man shaped pasta.
Maybe a future rancid Spider-Man themed food will give players Red Dead Redemption 2’s vomit roping powers.
