Twitter User Recreates Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Intro In Animal Crossing

A New Horizons player recreated the entire intro of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers in Animal Crossing.

Back in the early ’90s, there was a certain television show based on a Japanese live-action hero drama that was repackaged for North American audiences as the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. It became so popular that it has remained on TV in one form or another for the past 27 years and spawned three theatrical releases.

And now, it’s in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Twitter user @swerpee used a combination of custom rooms, costumes, and in-game assets to recreate the intro for the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. Avatars were made for Pink, Yellow, Blue, Red, and Black Rangers, with the Robot Hero statue standing in for the various dinosaur Zords.

Since there’s no dinosaur robot, @swerpee used fossil statues instead. It didn’t quite work out, but eh.

The best part is how Zordon is represented by an Easter Island statue. Oh, and the fact that most of the costumes for the rangers already exists in-game.
