Known for his disrespectful and harmful attitude within the Twitch community, streamer Tyler1 has spewed his thoughts on The Last of Us: Part II, stating “This might be one of the worst games I’ve ever played.”

His conclusive comments were far from subtle as he ranted about characters and gameplay from the much-anticipated sequel, shouting “This entire game was such a f****** waste of time.”, and telling Naughty Dog that “They should be ashamed.” Tyler continued with, “The audacity of them to even add that at the end of the game.”, when referring to the New Game+ option that includes the equipment and upgrades collected from the first run.

A clip edited by Desaccorde - that shows Tyler’s anger towards the devs has generated 123,845 views on Twitch. His closing stream received 74,394 views capturing the streamer’s impatience throughout. Tyler’s constant frustration with narrative choices - where he repeatedly shouts at a character to “DIE” - emphasized the rage he’s best known for. His only positive comment was directed at a returning character, saying “Joel’s so perfect.”, and his like-minded followers agreed with him.

The 25-year-old American has built a 3.4 million following on the number one streaming platform, previously ranked 14th on the League of Legends ladder in 2014. Tyler was banned from April 2016 to January 2018 for his aggressive attitude directed at fellow players that gave him the title of “The Most Toxic Player in North America.” After his forced hiatus, Tyler returned as a changed man, stating he was “reformed”. His returning stream received 386,000 views and Twitch announced it as the “website’s largest non-tournament viewership” at the time.

Tyler’s promising attitude adjustment didn’t last long, as his damaging comments towards others started to surface once again. His reputation of verbally attacking competitors, recommending suicide to other players, and deliberately sabotaging his teammates have all contributed to his unhealthy presence in the Twitch community. Previously banned by Riot Games, Tyler has now been playing other titles outside his familiar League of Legends terrain and while most stand with his opinions, they all agree that he needs to tone it down.

TLoU2 has no doubt divided gamers, with some players unhappy about Naughty Dog’s character choices and darker themes. Others are content enough with receiving a continuation of the first story that millions fell in love with, despite a general disappointment towards technical downgrades. Whether you’re ready for something more sinister or simply miss the Giraffe as your backdrop, TLoU2 raises strong opinions that should all be respected.
