Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but Ubisoft is handing out Assassin’s Creed 2, Rayman Legends, and Child of Light on PC via Uplay. Similar to promotions it has run in the past month, it seems the company is extending its offer of free games to encourage people to stay inside during the coronavirus lockdown.

All you’ll need to do to grab these games is log into your Uplay account on PC and navigate to their respective store pages. Add them to your account and you’ll be free to keep them forever. It’s an incredibly generous offering and each game is worth experiencing, especially Rayman Legends. That’s one of the best platformers of the last generation.

The extended Assassin’s Creed offer seems to be in promotion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but the other games are a nice bonus. All three will be available for free until May 5, 2020. After that, they’ll return to their regular prices and will require a purchase.

If you’ve somehow missed any of these games over the years, here’s a short description of each. Assassin’s Creed 2 is the continuation of the Assassin’s Creed saga (duh). It released in 2009 on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 to critical acclaim and expanded on all of the faults of its predecessor. Players were set loose in a recreation of renaissance era Italy to avenge the death of protagonist Ezio’s family. It’s often heralded as the best of the series.

Rayman Legends released in 2013 on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U as a follow-up to Rayman Origins. It was originally meant to be a Wii U exclusive, but a lack of enthusiasm for Nintendo’s tablet console led to ports on other platforms. It has since expanded to next-gen devices and even the Switch, but its release was a massive improvement over Origins. It is typically listed among the best platformers ever made.

Child of Light was released in 2014 as an experimental RPG from Ubisoft. Developed on the same engine as Rayman Legends, its gorgeous artwork and excellent music take players on a journey to free their kingdom from the clutches of an evil queen. It’s available on basically every modern console.
