PlayStation 4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has taken home top honors at the 2017 SXSW Gaming Awards by winning Game of the Year. The Naughty Dog title beat out Dishonored 2, DOOM, Overwatch and Titanfall 2 for the accolade.

Awards were handed out across 23 categories on Saturday during a ceremony hosted by WWE star Xavier Woods and Twitch broadcaster OMGitsfirefoxx. Other big winners were Pokemon GO for Mobile Game of the Year and Overwatch for eSports Game of the Year, Trending Game of the Year, and Excellence in Multiplayer.

Finalists for the awards were selected and voted on by the SXSW Gaming Advisory Board and staff. The winners were selected by the general public through a poll on IGN, along with further input from the Advisory Board.

Regarding Uncharted 4, the Advisory Board said the Game of the Year “exemplifies overall excellence and creates a distinct gaming experience across all platforms and genres.” This isn’t the first time Uncharted 4 has been lauded, as the title received eight nominations for The Game Awards last December. That said, this is also a measure of revenge for Naughty Dog, as it lost out on Game of the Year to Overwatch at both The Game Awards 2016 and the DICE Awards 2017.
