There’s yet more leaks for tabletop wargame studio Games Workshop this morning, as we have what appears to be the retail pricing for the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 Indomitus release in North American markets.
GW must be choking on their cornflakes this morning, as another round of leaks hits the interwebs. In what some are saying is the most anticipated Warhammer 40K launch in years, it feels like the narrative isn’t on GW’s side. Embattled by these leaks, GW has taken the right cause of action. Rather than dig in and prepare for winter, they have embraced the community and ran with it. Whether their hand was forced is irrelevant at this point, but it does paint a positive picture. Committed to the community, this is a different GW for times gone by.
In a previous post, we saw GW releasing the free download for 9th Edition Core Rules as well as announcements for new products including the Imperial Hammerfall Bunker and Necron Convergence of Dominion. The latest leak gives us a release date for the Hammerfall Bunker matching the main release of Indomitus with pre-orders starting July 11 and hitting shelves on July 25, with pricing at $40 US and $50 CA. We assume that the Convergence of Dominion will be the same.
There are also some unannounced new products available on release day. This includes some new paints. Entering the lineup we have Citadel Base: Runelord Brass, Citadel Layer: Canoptek Alloy, Citadel Shade: Cryptek Armorshade, and Citadel Technical: Tesseract Glow. There is a new battlezone available as well as an objectives kit. Rounding out the new releases we have some hobby accessories and a hardback release of the Warhammer 40,000 Indomitus novel.
Pricing for the new standalone rulebook is $65 US and $80 CA, with what appears to be a webstore exclusive limited edition at $210 US and $250 CA. Pricing around the Warhammer 40,000 Indomitus Launch Box has been a contentious issue among fans and there has been much speculation. We can finally hit the nail on the head with a US price of $199 US and $239 CA. No pricing details have been released as of the time of writing for the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world.
