Patch 0.155.7 is live and it celebrates the summer in Valheim with a new buildable maypole. You could already find maypoles rarely in the wild, but now you can build your own for an additional +1 comfort while resting.

Maypoles aren’t really a thing in North America, but in Europe they’re “erected as a part of various European folk festivals, around which a maypole dance often takes place.” The design seen in Valheim is typical of maypoles erected in Sweden to celebrate the arrival of summer.

A maypole requires 10 wood, four dandelions, and four thistles to create. Maypoles are only enabled “temporarily,” so build one now while you can.

The other big deal with update 0.155.7 is “monster AI tweaks” which will cause them to “aggressively” attack player structures if a player’s character isn’t available. So expect troll rampages to be a lot more destructive. Greydwarfs now have better aim with their thrown projectiles, too.

The Wolf Hunt event that was enabled in the last major patch has had its trigger tweaked to happen after Bonemass has been killed, and a brand new Blob event has also just been enabled. No word on what triggers the event, but you can expect to meet big green slimes more frequently as a result.
