The official launch of Riot Games’ VALORANT is here and with that an eleventh agent has been released. Each agent has a unique set of special abilities that sets VALORANT apart from many titles in the tactical FPS genre. Reyna joins the fight as the newest agent to grace the game.

Reyna comes loaded with an arsenal of powerful abilities that makes her the perfect duelist to take on the enemy team. The only catch is her full potential is unlocked through her own eliminations rather than other teammates. Reyna, along with all the other agents in VALORANT, comes with four abilities to utilize; two basic abilities that players can purchase at the beginning of each round, a signature ability automatically available each round and an ultimate ability players charge by getting eliminations, defusing the spike and collecting Ultimate Orbs. Let’s dive a little further to what Reyna has to offer.

Reyna’s first basic ability is Leer. Players can cast an eye with unlimited range across the map and travel through any terrain. Opponents will be temporarily blinded if they look at it but will not affect whoever cast it or their teammates like the other blinding abilities in the game do. Opponents can quickly shoot the eye to destroy it.

Devour is the second ability available to Reyna and is an important overall component to how the character is designed. When Reyna kills opponents, they leave an orb behind and when Devour is activated, she consumes the orb to quickly heal herself for a short amount of time while also giving her a bit of decaying armor. This ability is automatically up when her ultimate is being used.

Her signature ability is Dismiss and is similar to Devour but provides different utility. Reyna will consume the orb once activated but it will make her invulnerable for a short period of time. For those needing to get out of sticky situation quickly this is a great option. Unlike Devour, Dismiss isn’t automatically up when Reyna uses her ultimate. Instead, Reyna will become invisible.

Reyna’s ultimate ability is Empress. When activated, she goes into essentially berserker-mode by giving her rapid fire abilities and increases reload and equip speed. Like stated before, it buffs Devour and Dismiss making Reyna terrifying to deal with. Each kill during her ultimate renews its duration.

Reyna is a powerful agent that thrives on eliminating the opposition to fully unlock the potential of her abilities.
