Valorant is a new first-person shooter game coming to PC that is currently in its closed beta stage of development. It is a unique blend of aspects from Counter-Strike and Overwatch between the weaponry and characteristics of the agents. One of the biggest parts is the ability for players to purchase weapons throughout the game.

Weapons are, of course, the mark of any FPS. For a FPS game to be awesome, the weapons have to be pretty great.

In this game, players start out with 3,000 Creds, and also earn this currency by winning rounds, eliminating opponents, or completing the objective. It can be difficult for players to decide what weapon to buy as it is also smart to purchase armor. Keep reading to learn about the ranking of the best weapons in Valorant!

10 Stinger (SMG) (Cost: 1,000)

The weapon at the bottom of this list is a submachine gun, but it is in no way the worst gun in the game. It is fully automatic when fired from the hip, but looking through the scope turns it into a 4-round burst. The general damage is usually in the 20s, but a headshot jumps players up to the 60s.

9 Guardian (Rifle) (Cost: 2,700)

Assault rifles are a favorite among players, and this is one that many love to use. It is far from the best with only a 12 round magazine, but the damage helps make up for this fatal flaw. It does anywhere between 49 to 195 damage to opponents and using the 1.5x zoom slightly reduces the spray to increase accuracy.

8 Ghost (Pistol) (Cost: 500)

The first pistol to make an appearance on this list, and surprisingly, it’s not at the bottom. It is a semi-automatic weapon that can fire 6.75 rounds per second. It does decent damage from short and mid-range as a hit can do anywhere between 21 and 105. This weapon is the only one equipped with a silencer, pushing it higher up on the list due to its unique perk.

7 Bulldog (Rifle) (Cost: 2,100)

This weapon can be turned into a three-round burst when looking down sights, or be used as a fully automatic assault rifle. It does decent damage with 35 to the body and 116 to the head, but other weapons in its class are far better for just a few hundred more.

The magazine capacity also holds it back as it can only carry 24 rounds in a magazine. It isn’t bad, but it’s also not the best that money can buy.

6 Marshal (Sniper) (Cost: 1,100)

Snipers are not everyone’s cup of tea, but this gun has turned more than a few assault rifle users over to the dark side. It is semi-automatic and can zoom up to 2.5x, but the damage is a bit low for some players’ liking at 101 to the body. Headshots are an instant kill, but many prefer to save up for the Operator rather than settle for this weapon.

5 Sheriff (Pistol) (Cost: 800)

Pistols are not always great, but the developers made sure to add one that would make a difference. It is a semi-automatic weapon that does anywhere from 50 to 160 damage, but its downfall is that it only has a six-shot magazine. Some players swear by this weapon, but others prefer to have something with a few more shots to ensure a kill.

4 Operator (Sniper) (Cost: 4,500)

This is the most expensive weapon in the game, which is part of the reason why it wasn’t ranked higher on this list. It is a semi-automatic sniper rifle that can zoom up to 5x and does incredible damage.

A single headshot will deal 255 damage, which is more than any other weapon can claim. The gun does require a steady hand with a good degree of aim, but a hit basically guarantees a kill.

3 Spectre (SMG) (Cost: 1,600)

This is the best submachine gun in the game and is great for players who enjoy close-quarter-combat. It is fully automatic and deals anywhere from 22 to 78 damage depending on the range and where a player hits their opponent. The gun is perfect for short and mid ranges, which gives it a bit more flexibility than players have with other weapons in this category.

2 Vandal (Rifle) (C0st: 2,900)

Many players prefer to use automatic rifles as their primary weapon, which is why this gun is so high on our list. The fire rate of 9.25 rounds per second combined with the high 39 damage rate to the body at any distance makes it desirable. It is quite expensive to purchase, but the effect it has on opponents makes it worth the cost.

1 Phantom (Rifle) (Cost: 2,900)

This is a fully automatic weapon that does impressive damage and fires 11 rounds per second. It is great for both close and long-range shooting as it deals at least 30 damage to the body no matter how far a player is standing from their opponent. Some say the Vandal is the better option, but the higher fire rate is what makes this gun desirable.
