QuakeCon is making for some really cheap Bethesda games right now on GOG and Xbox.
QuakeCon recently announced that it was canceling its in-person event to be held in Dallas, Texas because doing so would likely result in the death of a significant percentage of con-goers. Plus, Texas has banned gatherings of 10 or more people, so that sort of put the kibosh on the whole endeavor.
So instead, QuakeCon is moving online just like every other gaming convention this year. From August 7 to 9, QuakeCon At Home will host a 60-hour livestream that will host panels, showcase games, and offer free loot such as Twitch drops for the QuakeCon Doom Slayer skin in DOOM Eternal.
And to celebrate QuakeCon, some digital storefronts are putting on some big sales.
GOG’s QuakeCon sale is on right now and will last until August 17. Up for grabs are a bunch of Bethesda games up to 75% off in some cases, such as Dishonored 2, Prey: Digital Deluxe Edition, and The Evil Within 2. You can get Quake III: Gold for 70% off, and Dishonored: Definitive Edition for 65% off. Older Fallout, DOOM, and Elder Scrolls titles can be had for just a few bucks.
But if you’re not a PC gamer, where can you get a great deal on a Bethesda game? The Xbox store is hosting its own QuakeCon sale where you can get games up to 80% off. And this includes newer titles like DOOM Eternal at just $29.99 (that’s 50% off), or RAGE 2: Deluxe Edition at $15.99 (that’s 80% off).
Older games are also super cheap, such as Fallout 4 for just 9 bucks, or DOOM II for just $2.50.
Microsoft doesn’t say how long their QuakeCon sale will last, so you’d best grab these deals while the grabbing is good.
