In its first month, 50 million people have poked their heads into Call of Duty: Warzone to see what all the fuss is about - and lot of those players have stuck around. Six weeks in, and there has been some incredible action in Warzone.
The kills, the antics in the Gulag, the glitches players continue to discover… the list goes on. However, we don’t think we’ve ever seen anything quite like the teamwork on show in the clip below. With the final circle established and opening up a large patch of wasteland with very little hiding opportunities, a team of two, who appear to have started as a trio, uses a riot shield to pick up the win.
That’s right, just the one riot shield between two players. The player doing the killing crouched down behind his teammate who had their shield up and proceeded to pick off all the enemies left over. They successfully down all three of them and then ruthlessly executes the trio to pick up the win. If there’s a more satisfying way to win a Warzone match, we’re yet to see it.
The riot shield might well be the most underrated item in Warzone right now. Not only can it apparently protect more than one person at a time from a rain of gunfire, but its user can also clock where snipers are using its visor without risking any damage. Plus, get close enough to an enemy and it really packs a punch as a weapon. Next time you venture into a Warzone match with friends, make sure at least one of you has a riot shield in their loadout.
