Activision just added a brand new gun into Warzone, the Finn LMG. Getting your hands on this new machine gun will require you to complete a specific challenge which can be completed very easily with our help.
It’s become expected for a new gun to show up at some point in the middle of a Warzone season, and for Season 5 we are being treated to the Finn LMG. This will become the seventh LMG in the game’s roster of weapons, alongside the Holger and the infamous Bruen. It’s far too early to tell if the Finn LMG will end up being as highly regarded as the Bruen, but unlocking it early can only give you an edge on the battlefield.
How To Unlock The Finn LMG
Unlike other weapons, the Finn is only unlocked through completion of a specific challenge, not through the Battle Pass. The challenge is: “Get 1 Melee Kill while using an LMG in seven different matches.” Just based on that, this may seem like an incredibly difficult and annoying task, and it would be if you went about it playing normally. However, there are ways to make this challenge a breeze.
First, if you happen to already have the Holger collecting dust somewhere, it’s time to break it out. If not, it’s not worth going out of your way to get just for this since this is basically the only time you might find it useful. Because with the Breacher Device attached, it will be able to kill an enemy with a single melee strike.
Unlocking the Finn will be easiest if you actually own the full Modern Warfare game and can play the traditional multiplayer mode, but this can be done in Warzone as well. If you have access, load up the Shoot the Ship game mode that is currently in the rotation. This game mode only uses two of the smallest maps, Shoot House and Shipment, for a variety of game modes. With all the players packed in a tight space, you should have no problem getting at least one melee kill per match. Once you’ve got it, just quit the match and join another.
If you’re just a Warzone player, completing the challenge for the Finn will be more difficult. The best game mode to do it in right now would be King Slayer Trios, which is basically Team Deathmatch with multiple teams, or just head into Plunder. Do your best to have a flash or stun on you to give you an opportunity to close in and bash your opponent down.
