Akimbo (dual wield) pistols in Call of Duty: Warzone are incredibly useful, but it is not always clear how players can unlock them. Fortunately, we have the challenge details for all six different akimbo variants. Most importantly, the challenges have very little to do with XP aside from unlocking the required perk, so don’t keep blasting away in multiplayer hoping to work towards the unlock.
Below we detail how to unlock all six akimbo pistol perks in Call of Duty: Warzone.
X16
Somehow, this handy pistol is often ignored, but should not be. Often times in a Warzone match, players who have the X16 equipped cannot seem to get rid of them fast enough, and for good reason. Nearly any weapon players come across will offer more damage, range, and versatility. That side, if users don’t use pistols often but also want to avoid using the Overkill ability to remain as stealthy as possible, it is worthwhile to give the Akimbo X16 challenge a shot. Once you have unlocked the sleight of hand perk, get to work.

1911
This trusty pistol is handy and surprisingly versatile. I have yet to come across akimbo 1911’s in the wild, but with the recent snake shot nerf, I would imagine this is worth unlocking as a backup if you have already unlocked stronger akimbo loadouts for the .357 or the Renetti.

.357
Despite the previously mentioned snake shot nerf, the akimbo .357 with snake shot still packs an incredibly lethal punch. While the range was nerfed, late-round secondary dual snake shot .357’s remain deadly in close quarters.

M19
The M19 challenge may be the most accessible, requiring only the Frangible - Wounding perk. If you have yet to unlock any akimbo set and aren’t a heavy pistol user, this could be a more manageable pistol to chip away at now and again.

.50 GS
This high caliber beast should be feared in multiplayer when wielded by skilled players. High damage output assist these pistols in achieving gruesome lethality.

Renetti
Last but not least, the Renetti is the current heir to the snake shot throne. With the snake shot nerf taking the wind out of many would-be assassin’s sails, the Renetti has emerged as a scary successor to the throne, quite capable of devastating destruction. Speed and hipfire are the name of the game to this pistol’s terrifying power.

It is worth noting that these unlocks can be a bear to unlock for players only playing Warzone, where rounds can easily approach 30 minutes. All require three kills with the designated pistol in five different rounds; this could be an imposing two to three hours of gameplay for a single pistol akimbo unlock. Those who have the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer can unlock the weapons much quicker as the rounds and kill quantities occur much more quickly, though this requires the paid version of the game.
