When playing Call of Duty: Warzone, opening any chest which reveals a killstreak tool can provide the edge needed to capture that ever-elusive victory. When enemies are clustered up in a great vantage point, a great way to alleviate that pressure is to call in the Cluster Strike killstreak reward.
First, a successful drop-in is key. Unlike the regular Call of Duty multiplayer, players do not earn kill streaks within Warzone. Instead, they are picked up at random locations on the map. After successfully dropping in, begin searching the area for weapons, various loot, and keep your eye on the ever-changing gas circle. If you’re having a hard time finding crates, turn your volume up a bit, they make a very distinct humming noise that alerts players of their location at a reasonable distance.
Inevitably, players will find various killstreaks in crates all over the map. Don’t be alarmed, within seconds of most rounds beginning, alerts of “Enemy UAV overhead” can be heard. These players happened upon a kill streak upon landing, and the UAV can be incredibly handy, especially when there 150 other friends crowded around the same points.
Once a player has successfully found a cluster strike killstreak reward, players must then navigate safely to a vantage point where they can engage the enemy without being killed themselves. For a first time user, this can be an initially underwhelming experience. The player pulls out a handheld green laser pointer, held in an overhead fashion, that cannot be used to zoom in. If the target is more than 100 meters or so away, or somewhere that requires a little bit of precision, it can be incredibly easy to miss, especially if taking fire.
Fortunately, thanks to a tip from LeagueofSOAD on Reddit, there is a better way. Instead of waving around an almost transparent green wand overhand and squinting with a prayer that you’ll hit, simply zoom in with a primary weapon scope. The next part is key - don’t move! If you maintain a steady focus, switch to the cluster strike, and hit the trigger, your cluster strike will arrive in seconds, on target, and lethal. In the video above, you can see this working properly, despite my wiggle in both examples provided. With a little practice, your cluster strikes will become incredibly effective and enjoyable to call in.
