Measuring your K/D, or kill-death ratio, has been a way of evaluating player skill in Call of Duty for years now, and that’s certainly true with Warzone. While getting better at the game will more than likely help you slowly increase that ratio, there’s actually a pretty simple trick that will do so as well.

It might sound a bit silly, but sitting in the plane until you’re kicked out at the edge of the map is a sound strategy for raising one’s K/D. More often than not, you will drop next to players who are AFK or who have become distracted by something in real life, giving you an opportunity to secure of couple of kills before playing the rest of the game.

Granted, this won’t always work. Some players might come back to the game at the last moment, and there are probably a handful of those out there who are trying to pull of this same strategy. Still, we found that more often than not, waiting until the last drop meant dropping next to a few players away from their games.

Depending on how much you’ve already played, this technique might take some time to raise your ratio up a full point, but if you’re sitting at 0.98 or 0.99 and simply want to get over that 1.00 hump, preying on the AFK just might do the trick.
